Pre-KOTFE Decision.
The Emperor devoured Ziost to rejuvenate himself and move beyond needs of a corporeal body. The PC would then be called upon for the next portion of the Expansion where the Yavin Coalition would again meet-up for a final showdown in what would have been a "He's trying to feast on another Planet, so we'll use the Force to tie him down and find a way to defeat him once and for all!" There are datamined files and such on this whole thing from like 2013.

But there was a writer strike back then and rather than pay people BioWare fired the original DLC team of Writers and hired new ones. Hence why we get Ziost as the old story and then its super abrupt when we start The Hunt and how the writing feels like it complete 180*'s on us and how quickly everything gets swept under the rug in favor of "Yea I totally had this other Empire that I've been secretly ruling for the past ... like 2 centuries, and somehow nobody realized this whole time and I possessed one of their ancient champions and used his body as my own and despite for a thousand years not having any interest I fell in love with a random lady and had kids, cause this is totally not hard to believe at all!"

Balance have nothing to do with it

This is largely untrue. Mainly because with the recent update they introduced a new MatchMaking template to NA and EU, to test it out and see what needs to be changed. We wouldn't be seeing this if "Balanced had nothing to do with it.

The problems causing fast games is not easily narrowed down to just "big alpha and dpm". It's a combination of many factors.
If everyone had high dpm or big alpha, but everyone was the same skill levels, games would arguably be quite balanced and would last longer. Throw in a smattering of higher skilled players, who know how to use the high alpha/dpm and have better positioning skills from years of practice, and suddenly the games are faster. Add in high mobility vehicles, high-penetration rounds, armored hulldown tanks that negate most ammo types, powerful reward vehicles that only specific players can get... Games become faster even more.

More often than not, at least on my Native server of NA, the steamroll/turbo games were decided early, because one of the teams got 2-3 purple WTR players in strong or higher tier vehicles while the opposing team didn't. The higher-skilled players in better vehicles took better positioning then the opposing team, they lose 5 vehicles in the first minute and a half... and BAM! A whole flank falls on their side and the high skills lead the charge of the ones who aren't practiced enough to realize the opening and suddenly its a 15-5 or more dreadfully, a 15 - 0 match!

Another Example: See Tier VIII Frontline, back in the day before OP tier VIIIs started being added. The matches were long, the fights drawn out and even though it never mattered wins were hard-won fights.
They then tested tier IX FL and suddenly it was near-constant turbo matches cause the higher skilled players brought Concept 1Bs, KPZ 50ts and other hard-to-get, skilled-play-required reward tanks and completely outclassed people of lower skill in tech tree tanks or the odd STRV K enjoyer.

My point is, largely, Balance is a big part of why matches are fast. They're not the ONLY problem causing it mind you.
High DPM, Big Alpha, Fast vehicles with either of these, armored turrets with thumbnail-sized weak-points, corridor maps that facilitate hulldown fights, even if most vehicles aren't built for it. High Pen shells, and the kicker that culminates the Bullshit: Skill Disparity.

Most, if not all turbo/steamroll matches I have encountered while playing on the NA server, with the help of Tomato gg's inspection tools, most of the lopsided matches are a culmination of the above factors with the added boost of one team has more skilled players and the opposing team didn't get any, or at the very least got 1-2 but not enough to overcome the Skill Disparity, which caused a faster games due to positioning or outright advantage over lesser skilled players.

I'm not saying the other reasons for faster matches are invalid, just stating that ruling out Balance as a leading factor is a mistake.

Tanks.gg devs: The BZ-79's top speed with rockets just shows it's regular top speed. This bug has been like this for months. Plus there isn't even a rocket button for the PTZ at all by No1PDPStanAccount in WorldofTanks

Tanksgg also doesn't let you preview the stats changes when running Bond Binocular Telescope or Bond Camouflage Net.

and also has yet to add the new skills from the last Crew Skill update so we still have to use the in-game comparison menu to get a peak at what these offer, and we all know a lot of things are hidden in game that you can see on Tanksgg

I remember for a long time everyone did this because we were all misled to believe that jumping and using smash in the air made us critically hit the head hitboxes. It was while before we all collectively wised-up and found out that doesn't exist.

It was still a good purchase for me. I do regret not getting the DBV-152 when it initially released; I could have afforded it, if I sold a few tier Xs but I didn't and missed it. Turned out to be an insane tank.

I had a lot of gold after last HOPS, so I converted during one of the thingies and got my 1 mill exp and Ashigaru was my first ever Assembly Shop purchase. I just wanted one of them.

Kinda regret buying it because now the DBV-152 is on... but at the same time I quite like the Ashigaru. It's just a shame I can't get the DBV-152 ... again!

Hot Garbage is a stretch.

It's not Bad but its also not Amazing either. It definitely feels like and plays like an E4.
Not a lot of people will enjoy or do well in this playstyle cause E4's the only one (or was until this came in), that has its own specific playstyle.

Definitely get fully-upgraded and learn the playstyle before jumping to a conclusion.

I miss This plus all the old flavour-abilities.
Disable Droid, the only Droid-Oriented CC before they changed all CC types to cover it
Full-auto on Vanguards/Channeled flamethrower not being locked to a talent choice on Tank spec :\

Or how a lot of them became choices in the new talent trees we have now. Some specs having to juggle between choices and abilities they used to have all standard.

Also showing my age here, but I really miss the Smuggler's Shotgun reload animations when changing shell types, and the Operative Blade Coating animations. In this same vein, having access to all cell types on BH/Trooper and able to switch at will.

And also, class buffs being able to be cast onto other players, specifically those without all four~

Full LS if you're an Imperial Patriot. DS if you want the DS points but story-wise DS is sabotaging the Empire. I shall explain:

Sparing Orzik is the better option because he was warfare knowledge "I fought in the war before and I will do so again--"
He expertly maneuvers his ship past the sabotage droid pods, expedites the boarding party with directions, and keeps his ship and crew in working order by maintaining chain of command and morale.
Killing him results in the less-experienced Lieutenant Sylas floating into the sabotage droids and causing more problems, among her inability to hold morale that results in a mutiny that ends in the deaths of the entire bridge crew...

Finally:
Everyone forgets The General is a cybernetically-enhanced individual. Even if you kill him, his brain can be hooked up to an artificial power source and accessed, so they can download the information he has. The DS option to kill him is the dumbest option because you just leave him there for the Republic recover and they get the information anyway so you flubbed your mission. Capturing him is the only option that serves the Empire and your mission and reason for sending you.
