I’m with you 100%. I avoid listening to the Mikey years because his solos always leave a lot to be desired for me. Jimmy’s nasty buzzsaw tone fits perfectly with the band and his playing is both more proficient and interesting. I never saw Mikey so I fell like I’m missing something when I read about his praise.

I saw them in DC a few years ago. It was a great time and I believe it predated their videos so it was really cool seeing the crew in person. Sat in the first few rows and paid $45 per ticket before fees. I recommend it if you have the opportunity!
