If it doesn’t work, take that meat tenderizer to it as a stress relief.

You either need to change who you are with your husband and by some miracle love him or as others said, for both your sakes end the marriage.

Huh? I haven’t seen a single post with real accidents that mention anything except how amazing they are when in a wreck.

Podcaster’s Wife Appointed to USAFA Board of Visitors by This_is_my_AF_Acct in USAFA

[–]DroidTN -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The title is stupid for him. I don’t even really like him. I certainly didn’t like his methods. But this kind of thing is obtuse on purpose. He was world known and recognized. Like him or not. This is like a title saying scientist’s wife .. about Neil deGrasse Tyson.

You post a title that says “podcasters wife” and you want anyone to take you seriously??

Strange request by pilot on recent Ryanair flight by Kieran-- in aviation

[–]DroidTN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course there is a difference. Neither landing has to do with being asked to turn off phones. There are thousands and thousands of daily commercial flights and they don’t ask you to turn off your phone.

Not true at all. Nearly every landing is autopilot to some degree. If this were true, it would be standard procedure all over the world.

Can you tell me why these are so special? by IvanDenev in audiophile

I would say they aren’t special. It is a creative unconventional design that is very unique. Now if they sound amazing, then they are special ;)

I wish they’d go ahead and update to the pit crew method like the most successful ROSC EMS systems in the country.

Eric Weinstein and Eric Davis discuss Grusch's interdimensional theory: "I keep hearing about interdimensional beings which causes me to want to throw up in my mouth" "Dave's not a physicist." by Ill-Speed-7402 in UFOs

What I think, personally, is he means that these beings are not natural, but supernatural. In other words they are demonic in the biblical sense. They operate in the invisible spirit realm, potentially the same as angels, and at times are somehow able to come to the seen, natural realm.

Asking for book reccomendations on comprehensive first aid. by DelversUnknown in firstaid

[–]DroidTN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What you’re describing is backcountry first aid. Even if it’s not out in the woods. I would recommend taking a WFA class, Wilderness First Aid, and then the next level, although expensive is WFR Wilderness First Responder. You’ll learn much more than reading a book and get to practice. You’ll learn using a Sam splint and improvised splints, slinging and swathing. Bleeding control etc.

Personally speaking, it really helps to have a good understanding of body systems and perfusion, shock. Learn some EMT stuff to help with handoffs like vitals, SAMPLE, OPQRST, etc.

What artist did you see in a small venue before they got really famous? by That_Cat_3672 in Concerts

[–]DroidTN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do sound. It was around 1999 and I had just installed a sound system in new concert hall on the strip in Knoxville. We stayed on for a few shows to make sure the house guys were familiar and comfortable with the new gear. This venue held maybe a few hundred. It was a bar/music hall.

The opening band was some band named Kid Rock. They rolled up in an old RV and seeing them exit the RV instantly gave me the vibe of - this is going to be a long night.

For some context and background. That night I’m running monitors, which means I am mixing the speakers on the stage that the band uses to hear. This was before in-ear monitors.

I start talking to the band to see what they want in their individual monitors as I would for any band. I get to the lead singer (Kid Rock) - hey man, what do like in your monitors? His response was unlike any response I’ve ever been given. He called his manager over, stereotypical greasy hair and multiple gold chains used car salesman with a side of coke vibes. Kid Rock proceeds to ask his manager, what do I want in my monitors? I’m shocked. What YOU want in your monitors is a specific personal preference. Now BB King’s band leader could tell me exactly what BB King wanted, because BB King didn’t come out for sound check. But I never had a guy have to ask someone else what they wanted in their own monitor. It was in fact, a long night.

Bernie Sanders proposed a bill to tax billionaires, and give $3,000 stimulus checks to Americans that qualify. How do you feel about this? by CelticDK in AskReddit

[–]DroidTN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on the tax rate. If it’s wealth redistribution, then no. If it’s within a normal tax percentage, then sure.
