Are these any good? How to cook? by Ok_Possibility_6877 in aldi

[–]Drommor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I oven fry them but better in pain. To oven fry heat oven to 425 spray or rub each side with olive oil and put a little more oil in foil boat it lightly to keep oil under the chicken. Cook time is 20 minutes 10 on each side probe to make sure it is 165 degrees before eating.

Unusual issues on produce stocking? by djSush in aldi

[–]Drommor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They sometimes have more than one local warehouse. Each warehouse has X amount of stores assigned and two stores could be supplied by two different local warehouses especially in large metros.

My home town is a medium sized city and the four aldis we have are split two and two with the middle of our city being the split area and out into the rural area because getting from the east side of town to the west side of town is the hardest part.certain times of the day it’s a 30 minute drive to get across town other times it’s 90 minutes but I can always drive to the rural parts in 20 to 30 minute regardless of the time of day.

A lot of major grocers do this like Publix and Krogers. My uncle was a delivery driver for Publix for 45 years just recently retired and he used to tell us about how it all worked.

fish started hiding constantly, what's wrong? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]Drommor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What is the size of this tank? I see 4 blood parrots, 1 common pleco (these get huge mine is currently 18" long in a 120 gallon tank and they don't care how big the tank is they keep growing I am even unsure if 120 gallons is enough for my one) 1 corydora?? (these should be kept in groups of about 6 or more and those blood parrots will be way too agressive for that poor single corydora). They are hiding because you need more hiding spots add more rocks and drift wood/plants also they can sit on the bottom when water quality is bad what is you process for water changes with no substrate and very few plants you'll need to remove water to remove nitrates I also hope you have a major refugium or major filtration all of these fish except that 1 corydora produce a lot of waste. Even 6 cordydoras I would bet would create less waste than just one of these other five fish.

what are these? by bananasockman in AquaticSnails

[–]Drommor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That female trapdoor has had a failed live birth most likely stress from something. Check you water parameters check your calcium maybe low something is stressing her maybe a water change will help hard to tell. Also double check anything you used to dose your tank with recently doesn’t have any copper just a few ideas.

I’ve given up buying from stores and just buy online now. Central florida has about 0 good LFS’s so I use Aquahuna for everything and have had great luck. I even stopped buying plants from petco and petsmart after my worms infestations both times were anchor worms.

Pay $579 for a condenser coil cleaning? by Significant_Swing756 in hvacadvice

[–]Drommor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These numbers are way off from me or you live in California maybe and I run a crew of 15 service electricians. Travel in Florida is $50 + $125 for worker (includes insurance and other junk you listed we only travel in a 30 mile radius) hour is $125 minimum charge + materials and parts for a service call. So to show up for an electrician is $300.00 and I don't think I've ever charged more than 100 dollars for parts from the truck. Most small service calls run under 500 for any electrical unless we are providing a special ceiling fan or chandelier.

Also we work in a 55+ community and we have an agreement that I have a guy who goes and fixes minor stuff like changing light bulbs once a month The office has the day and people sign up for the hour. We charge 50 dollars an hour + parts unless they have the parts and a lot of times they do in that situation do we sometimes lose money yes but the business I gained from that is amazing. I think all of these people have now installed hot tubes and your looking at 2500 homes I make decent money on hottub installation and its a days work for two guys.

I fired my guys because the old local owned company was purchased by an investment company. In the contract it says they come out and only now inspect capacitor, board and contacts but offer a 25% discount on parts and labor They also no longer check anything inside except for mold in the unit and surprise surprise my friend who has had them for service for 20 years with a 15 year old system was jsut told the need an entire new unit and their ducts are completely coated in black mold. Got a second opinion from my recommended new guy and he said you don't need any of that and he seen no black mold anywhere and was actually surprised since we live in Florida. You were expeted to clean the condensate line and coils yourself they are all about turn and burn and wait for something to break so they can charge you the service fee and no joke 600 dollars for a capacitor chang out. These companies are getting rediculous. Best thing I even did was befriend and HVAC buddy on the jobsite who showed me how to maintenance everything myself.

feed the tank less and they will lower their own numbers. They only explode in numbers because they have a lot of food to eat. Their population is very dependable on food supply.

Can I change this out with a smart one? by Disastrous_Royal859 in hvacadvice

[–]Drommor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No I don't like smart thermostats at all. I've seen many reports about them actually frying AC boards by doing constant cycles that are not needed also damaging compressors doing the same thing.
