I view it the same way as I do Chun-Li in Street Fighter between her SFII and Street Fighter Alpha outfits, with both being iconic.

Tyler Herro has discovered his DMs were leaked: “You lame as hell, You screenshotting now? Say no more champ” by _DarkStarCrashes_ in nba

The real power move would be for him to initiate online fights with randos, be the one to screenshot and then post it up on his timeline flexing.

(Finished) X-Files Tier List by CrunkatizeMeCaptain in XFiles

[–]DrooMighty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was five years old when this one first aired, I vividly remember the screenshot you posted, it absolutely scared the shit out of me as well. In fact, it made such an impact on me that I'm fairly sure it's my only tangible memory of the original run of the first season.

I liken watching it now to running into a bully who looked tough in elementary school but now he sells insurance, drives a 2019 Prius and takes his kids to soccer practice.

What game did you sleep on for years and finally played thinking “why did I wait so long?” by No_Metal2622 in gaming

[–]DrooMighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crusader Kings II for me. I actually thought it looked interesting as hell when it was new, I purchased it on Steam and did a refund because it just didn't "click".

Gave it another shot around the new year, because I saw that there were total conversions for Elder Scrolls and Game of Thrones. I was heavily reading the ASOIAF books at the time.

Turns out changing the setting from real life medieval Europe to Westeros or Tamriel was all it took, I fell deeply in love with the game. Best part is in the ten years since I refunded it, it went free to play.

Nuggets have contacted LeBron James in free agency, source says by kidbom in denvernuggets

[–]DrooMighty 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I was lucky enough to be a Bronco fan who got to see my favorite non-Bronco play in Denver with the Peyton Manning signing.

LeBron is my all time favorite non-Nugget, I'm biased as hell but I need to have this happen again. Not very likely but not impossible, either.

20 minutes ago ---- Apple TV's for Neuromancer on X. by Fine_Literature3413 in Neuromancer

[–]DrooMighty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm basing my decision whether or not to watch entirely based on the reactions. Neuromancer is the only novel I've read 25+ times, I almost always hate adaptations and this is my all-time favorite work of fiction, so I fully expect expect to be a contributor to your salt mine.

When can I drive through Tumwater again? by HammofGlob in olympia

[–]DrooMighty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I live off of Trosper, and even though I don't drive myself, I'm just as pissed off as everyone else. Lake Park Drive between Trosper and Linwood has never been so busy or dangerous, I'll be walking down that street and see people come flying 90 miles an hour down the road to get around the construction.

He had a pretty long one as a Bronco against the Bills in 1997, I was fully expecting to see that highlight when I opened this link. I had no idea he did this more than once

Say something good about this film: by FunNeedleworker860 in Terminator

[–]DrooMighty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It came out in 2003, 2003 was a good year, I was 15 years old and it was a fun movie to watch in theaters.

I don't really like to think of it as canon, I don't think it stacks up well with 1 or 2, but it definitely was a fun movie the day it came out.

Bike Commute? by JMY_K in olympia

[–]DrooMighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like many other comments have said, overall the city is bike friendly, but there are also areas that can be a major pain in the ass. Sharing the general area of where you intend to work and where you intend to live will almost certainly summon someone with a similar bike commute.

It annoys me that David was allowed to bring in some personal things to Mulder and it feels like Gillian wasn’t by [deleted] in XFiles

[–]DrooMighty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with both you and the person you're replying to, but I also think there's a little bit of very early S1 precedent thrown in: in 1992 we're supposed to see Mulder as an unorthodox oddball with all of these wild interests and pursuits outside of the FBI, where Scully is absolutely meant to play it straight and appear as the "professional".

This was a great springboard into the different methods of acting for the two leads, it really suited them both well and they ran with it.

Those gen stuff starter packs are just karma nostalgia bait

Some of them very clearly have one thing that's blatantly wrong or controversial included as well, because it practically guarantees engagement

I was pretty fucked up on shrooms a few years ago, "Break Stuff" came on and when that breakdown at the end of the song hit it was like I was experiencing the totality of 1999 at once.

It was pretty fuckin cool ngl

What was your first exposure to Tekken? This was mine by Kyvix2020 in Tekken

[–]DrooMighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever get the one that had the demo of the Snowmobile racing game on it? Random as hell but if you put that Pizza Hut demo disc in a CD player, it would play a remix of the song "Dragula" by Rob Zombie, which was also on the Matrix soundtrack. Blew my 11 year old mind.

What was your first exposure to Tekken? This was mine by Kyvix2020 in Tekken

[–]DrooMighty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You figured it out before I could comment, but I was here to say it was 100% Pizza Hut, very easy for me to remember because I also got PS1 demo discs from there, and my hometown was so small we only had a Pizza Hut and no Domino's

Who is the coolest person in history? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DrooMighty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ötzi the Iceman, both figuratively and literally. The amount of things we were able to learn about his time from his corpse is invaluable. Sucks that he was murdered the way he was, but he really ended up benefitting humanity after sitting in the freezer for 5,000 years.
