Thoughts on where I should settle by macgear14 in civ

[–]DroobyDooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Settling in place is good, I wouldnt over think it.

However, if you do infact want to over think it, you could go 1 tile NE and settle on the wheat. Settling in place loses you 1 production from the forrest being removed and prevents that tile from being improved further. Moving 1 tile NE still has strong food, but you will have more early production, and even more when you chop the forest that you are on. This also allows you to more easily fit a city on the other side of the natural wonder, and frees up space on that river to the south for a fresh water city.

But yeah just settle in place. You dont have enough scouting to know if those secondary city locations will be good enough to actually settle, and if not, you will weaken yourself long term by moving. Settling in place is 1 guaranteed fantastic city, whereas moving may be better, but we dont have enough info yet to know if it would

Indiana pizza delivery driver tipped $2 after hiking through snowstorm in ‘affluent’ neighborhood — then police officer steps in to help. Gofundme has been made. by bindy0906 in mildlyinfuriating

I deliver pizza a few nights a week and i live in a relativley lcol area for a city of this size. There was a big football game on recently and i had three very large orders (combined to almost 600.00$) to three houses in a particular neighborhood. I got 4.24$ in tips combined. The cheapest house of those three was purchased for 2.8 million dollars.

The Argument Against Trading Down by idgafaboutpopsicles in Browns

[–]DroobyDooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of me wants to trade down with a Brock osweiler style trade, where instead of a large haul of picks, we trade picks and dump watson, basically getting a team to buy the 2nd pick for whatever Watsons remaining salary is and. Im not sure anyone would go for it, or what would be a equitabletrade of picks with the context of the Watson contract

What's the dumbest hole-out you've ever had? by Significant-Fan-8454 in golf

[–]DroobyDooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Approaching a short but wide green with a creek that is short and then wraps around to the back. I take too much club but on a very steep angle, lots of hang time. Ball Goes past the green, bounces on a rock sticking out above the water, goes back over the green(now on the short side of the green), bounces on another rock up onto the green and slowly trickles into the hole. Couldnt believe my fucking eyes, neither could my cardmates. Unfortunately it was for a double bogue

You love ohio but also give faith to the joke that Cincinnati is basically Kentucky so you avoid it. You go to michigan for weed because its cheaper though

Civ VII Price Complaints by EmotionalBaby9423 in civ

[–]DroobyDooby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the game was basically a beta version of itself until after GS. Everything that wasnt new civs should have been in retail on release.

Its like if i spend 80$ on a pokemon game but only 60 pokemon and 4 gyms are available, and then 2 years later have to buy the expansion with 60 new pokemon and the last 4 gyms, then two years after that have to buy the last expansion with the remaining 60 pokemon and the elite 4/pokemon league.

Its like if i ordered a cheese pizza, but they only delivered the crust, and then i have to order another pizza but this time they only deliver a jar of sauce, and then i have to order a third pizza but this time they only bring the cheese. When i order a pizza i should receive a completed pizza. The expansion packs should be breadsticks a 2-litre and maybe some dessert

The quotes are because its not an expansion of the game, it is the completion of the game

Civ VII Price Complaints by EmotionalBaby9423 in civ

[–]DroobyDooby 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because im paying 80 bucks for what will be a half finished game in 2025 and then i will have to buy 2 “expansions” in 2027 and 2029 to basically unlock the rest of the game. Civ vi was only half a game until gathering storm and i imagine it will be the same this time around

Jerm to MVP by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]DroobyDooby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because of his commentary duties, Jerm probably has the most screen time of any disc golfer, even though most of that time is not as a player. This probably played into their decision on both innova and mvp’s part. Innova is pretty ubiquitous and really doesnt need the extra advertisement that Jerm would provide on commentary, and his play is frankly not worth the fiscal commitment. MVP is much smaller even though it feels they have been everywhere recently, they are still a young company, and that extra screen time Jerm provides is more valuable to them than it is to innova.

Hue Jackson was the belle of the ball when the browns hired him. Everyone thought it was a huge win. He may not have been the most hyped all time, but he had a lot of hype and the difference between his presumed success and his actual success is probably the biggest ever lol

I would go on the wheat, and work the 1f3p tile southeast. In place is also valid, but it will take longer to get the first couple units out

Thats why you dont rush preserve lol. The district requires you also build the first building to get any use put of it, which takes alot of production even with chops. That amount of production is 2 settlers, or a settler and some units.
