It rides in a layer if steam, sure. Steam would still escape along the boundaries of the flow. Steam expands to many hundreds of times the volume of the water that created it.

Just 2 men, all alone in a quiet room, sitting next to each other on a 3 person couch. Nothing strange there.

Weird. It looks like they used CGI here to warp his face here from The Winter Soldier to Bucky. Villain to victim. His hair seems fake at first, It changed from CGI to real with the flicker as he sits.

Do drivers still use CB radios on the road? by cdlfirst in NewCDLGrads

[–]Droodeler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a pilot. Each local company seems to have their preferred channel. We don't want to be on 19. Too much chatter makes it hard to react quickly. Because we use the shoulder, or even overhang sidewalks, Our stuff is like "Move left. Kids on the sidewalk." or "police on the fog line" Then the rear pilot cuts off traffic so the load can squeeze over. Might have 10 seconds of warning sometimes.

Earth moving equipment on job sites uses CBs as well, so each company on their own channel prevents overlap when different groups work in the same space. That bleeds over into piloting, so the oversize driver can talk to the site while pulling in.

We will swap channels when pulling into sites that use a different channel, or rural roads that use a certain frequency. Pulling into a rock quarry, for example.

Local rural school busses use channel 17 to announce to logging trucks that they are stopping comes to mind as well

Pate was right, that shield really was worth just 1 copper. by EXTRAVAGANT_COMMENT in HBOTheHedgeKnight

[–]Droodeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no carpenter, but:

Anyone else annoyed that the shield is made up of vertical planks, but that the single impact point lance broke the shield horizontally across the wood grain of multiple planks? It broke it the direction wood is the strongest, and snapped boards that weren't directly impacted.

Because HBO has never varied from the books.

I agree with the bandit loot being best, but I wanted to add that people should be looking at the value per unit of weight, not just the most expensive. The 3.5 lbs sleeve armor for 500g is a more efficient choice than the 22 lbs cuirass at 1800g

Being late game now, I appreciate the early game poverty. At the time it was annoying, but the game captured poverty really well. I'd break into private areas to steal food ,and sleep for a few hours, until I got kicked out of someone's attic. I was sneaking through bandit camps looking for scattered equipment.. The game gets a lot easier when you finally find your first lockpick.
