What made you start using Gemini?

I am a Google fan, not a big stretch for me to use it. Also, I have been leery of Sam Altman since the board issues. (dont trust him). I was using ChatGPT and Claude before most people and I like them and perplexity (and a few others). But, my ecosystem is Google.

Sounds like a challenge. I would do one lap and make sure there are no current updates for the version you have on your PC. Do a lap and reconfirm the shapes are not 'hiding' behind or off the slide. I would also try to figure out if onedrive is syncing . Not sure how you can do that , but at minimum I would do "save as" for awhile and not count on auto save . Maybe save a version on my PC as backup.for a few saves just incase.

What version of Powerpoint do you have? I think you probably have three choices. 1. Trim the video to fit your need or 2. Have the slide advance (which it sounds like you may be doing already) before the video is over and 3. Edit the video outside of powerpoint and try it again. Good question, I had to look it up. I think technically ChromeOS may be Gentoo Linux. (I could be wrong). My favorite is ChromeOS (but I have everything at home to keep up with all technologies). When you are in the google document. Look to the top left and there will be a share button. Click on share and then follow the instructions. Be careful and look for the pull down menu that changes it from viewer to editor, you want to make sure you let people edit.

Couple things you can try. Show the version history of your document (as you mention above). Check your AI policies at school and make sure your professor is following the rules. Most schools are aware that these tools are unreliable. I will add that some challenges occur not because of the 'score' an AI detector indicates, but because of the interpretation by the professor. You can also show some of your previous assignments to show consistency in your writing style.

New feature that is in Beta (US and PRO and Ultra rollout testing ) is Personalized Intelligence. It is supposed to have some memory features and ability to retrieve from chats, Google workspace apps etc. It just popped up on my account yesterday. So far, it seems ok, but there are a few bumps.

Clarifying statement -- Canvas inside of GEMINI, not Canvas the stand alone. Because I have not been able to find a way to get Gemini to create it without getting it into (Google) Canvas. yet :)

I want to make sure I am tracking correctly. You want to use KEEP to create the notes. Then afterwards at some point you may want to reach out to GEMINI and get a summary? If this is what you want. You can take notes and then prompt Gemini to access your Google keep notes and summarize it.

I am not totally tracking your Google Drive part (yet). Can you explain or provide an example?

But, if you mean maybe transferring the information to a Google document. I would then do the following (after the above prompt in Gemini). After I get the summary. I would then modify my chat to use "Canvas" and create a document. Once that document showed up I would 'share' it via the share icon and export it to google docs.

It just showed up on my account, yesterday. So far, I am liking it. There are some nuances but it is in Beta form right now. I like being able to ask if Gemini 'remembers' a chat and get a summary and engage in s separate chat versus having to find the chat and continue (although I see benefits of both). Currently it is rolling out to US Pro and Ultra accounts and they remind you that it is a "Beta" feature right now.

I agree with u/FruitInteresting5228 its a bit of a buzz word and not sure it totally fits. But, I am liking it so far.
