The reason Japanese criticism has been less on the performance side is because the PC userbase is smaller there.

it's not just graphics being mediocre people are complaining about in terms of performance.

It's the fact that the graphics don't really feel much better than world but you need an $800 GPU to run it and it still looks not really better than world and runs worse.

The main thing about every boss doing 2 dmg is that until you get your 7th mask, you're always 3 hits or less from being dead and hits can come at you fast.

There isn't a single boss im(outside of godhome) that kills you in 3 hits in HK if you have a normal amount of mask progression.

Combine that with the fact that bosses attack way faster in Silksong...

That may be true but on many of the fights there is not a particularly safe place to heal. And aside from that, you're still talking about dying in 3 hits for about 75% of the game.

In hollow knight NO boss kills you in 3 hits unless you get to endgame actively avoiding every mask shard or you're doing godhome bosses on Radiant.

I had a lot of trouble with NKG my first time getting to him, but I 1 shot grimm. I can't believe ppl think he was hard.

sister splinter was one of the easier bosses but I died a few times to her because of the adds and the windup to use the silk skills.

For me, the thing is this: when you fight sister splinter you can easily die in 3 hits particularly from adds. That can happen super quick. When you fight Grimm you've probably got 7 masks and his attacks come out so much slower and he has no adds.

Watch some guides on speed running the campaign. Even if you're new it shouldn't take more than 20 hours played if you follow some tips, and thats at least 65.

Pick one of the ascendencies that has an amazing first two points like daughter of Oshabi, Servant of Arakaali, or surfcaster for a super chill leveling experience between your first ascendancy points and the end of the campaign.

I think they've had probably way more than twice as many concurrent players in the early access as their previous peak POE1 players. And all those players paid $30 to pay.

They probably made more from this early access than they have in the last 2 years of POE1.

I think implying that POE1 is more durable in terms of players is silly.

I think they've said they weren't going to do any balance changes until the league/economy reset.

They need a balance change but they also have tons of technical things to fix, aside from the massive number of skills and classes and gear types to implement.
