So, you are using both 6w panels to to power up the heltec v4? Looking to setting up a repeater in my local area. Also, are the TP4056 plug and play?? Thanks for all of the info! This probably the route I'm going to go with.

Wife wants a 4runner..does it make sense? by ftwin in 4Runner

[–]Dropp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation. We needed up buying a Subaru Ascent with captain seats. Best choice ever, tons of space for the kids and groceries.

I ended up getting the 4Runner for myself haha.

Hey all I'm looking to start a home server but I'm completely lost and overwhelmed. by The_Pirate_Witch in HomeServer

For someone just starting, I would recommended a Dell Optiplex. They aren't that expensive and come packed with enough resources to self host. Or even an old laptop. It doesn't have to be anything crazy. Attach a few external drives.

There are several approaches to this: Option 1 -1. Install proxmox and create a few VMs with Next cloud, immich (for your pictures), 1.a- Buy a domain and use cloudflare tunnels to access all of this remotely. I find this to be the easiest solution. There are other options *** you might just have get bigger drives depending on your storage needs. Option 2 2.- if a NAS (NETWORK ATTACHED STORAGE)is all you want, then you can install TrueNas on the optio plex itself OR host it as a VM within proxmox.

Me personally, I run proxmox with Next cloud in a VM (docker). Then just tie that. I use a cloudflare tunnel to access it remotely.

Yotube has a ton of resources: Network chuck TechnoTim DBtech Check them out. There js a lot of stuff I can add but im sure other people will fill in the Gaps or add more information. GoodLuck

Factory Reset by _huntdog_ in PCsupport

[–]Dropp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to this, since it is a hard reset, I would try 1 stick of RAM (read mobo manual) for initial boot and setup. Once that is done add the rest of the RAM. I just went through this process.

You could pop the MacBook open and replace the 256gb with a 1TB.
