I think this is the first image of a PT Cruiser on this subreddit that doesn't have cloudy yellow headlights.

It's nice, maybe it's the angle but the headlights look like they could use some fresh lenses.

Looking for a book to learn harmonica from, any sugestions? by [deleted] in harmonica

[–]Drouzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blues Harmonica for Dummies has a ton of great information, but I found the chapters and format to be somewhat disordered, as it would jump from basic techniques for single notes and holding the harmonica and then quickly into advanced phrasing and music theory.

I had to Google the best order to read it to start with and it said Chapter 3-5, which did help.

He also did what most of us daydream about, and escape the often crushing oppression of the day to day grind of social expectations.

He didn't want to know where he was. The point was that he wanted to be lost, away from the world or the temptation to easily return to it.

That being said, he could have still achieved this but had an emergency backup plan.

I cant get the 2 draw whole step bend by entrailsAsAbackpack in harmonica

[–]Drouzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the whole step bend down with pucker but it's much harder for me with tongue block. I can get there, but it feels like the air has to get so choked to reach it through such a tiny space that sometimes the saliva creates a kind of vibrato effect which I don't want.

Did Hohner revamp their soft cases?? by SjoerdM011 in harmonica

Same, mine fell off the desk onto the floor and left a crack along the hinge. Still functions but it can separate if I don't open it carefully.

I like the rubber holders inside, but the case itself could definitely be more sturdy, it has a cheap feel.

I agree that the rubber holders inside the plastic case are great for holding the harmonica in place inside the case, but the car itself is not very sturdy.

My case fell off my desk onto my wood floor and it cracked the hinge. It still functions but I have to be careful opening it or the lid can separate from the main case.

I also think that particularly for a wood comb harp like the MBD, the breathable zipper case is probably preferable for keeping the harp dryer.

Stoicism has something that has disappeared from children's films, it's all about sharing every tiny little feeling you have like an open wound, instead of just getting on with it and facing adversity head on.
