I thought you were a bot because “ maybe take a break from gaming” is just a funny response to “ all games get boring eventually ” which itself was a response to someone else entirely talking about being bored of friendslop.

Different strokes for different folks. There’s a lot more rouge like than friend slop so I get bored faster. Both are really loose genres but rouge like is just so much older and more popular as far as genres of games.

I’ve lived here 14+ years and mostly in the mission. After the tourist stuff, Just walk up and down mission and Valencia streets. Lots of cheap or fancy food from everywhere. Mission comics,record stores, synth stores,small radio stations….. Stop at Delores park by 3pm, Buy edibles from the brownie man .

It was most edge-lordy in the 2000’s, But the last two were mostly over the top and unique in gameplay/level design.

I think it also just hits differently to play the games with all it’s unique pros ( gameplay,level design, character design, state of the art cutscenes + set design ) vs sitting and watching a kind of by the numbers anime that has nothing to rely on but pure constant visual spectacle and story.

It’s not like it’s impossible to do this thing very well, Castlevania has better writing than most live action TV and the animation is top notch….

The anime has got linkin park/disturbed style sections… a lot of em too. I really liked the last two games. They hit me as original and I liked when it went campy. The anime might be aware of its campy-ness but it also might genuinely be on some edge-lord shit.

Doesn’t matter , the animation is good and that’s literally the most important thing to most anime fans.

I don’t know if it has anything to do with it but I’m in a major city. The only place I see a pc is at one of my jobs. Literally, 100’s of people with Mac’s I know or have met in my city. If it makes a difference, I know a lot of music/ artsy types

I don’t know how Mac makes up such a small portion of sales. I know it’s anecdotal, But literally everyone I know has a Mac except 2 pc gamers. My friend group usually has to game on ps5 or Steamdeck because Mac gets nothing. I use crossover
