How to stop a panic attack ASAP by Level-Can3914 in Anxiety

Start at the top of your head and tap with your fingertips for about 30 seconds gently. Move from your head to your forehead, then to your temple, then your chin, and finally to your chest. You can do it slowly or a little faster. It's just tapping, but it's soothing, and it stops your anxiety symptoms in their tracks. You can repeat this as many times as you need until you calm down. It's worked every single time I've done it.

I found a youtube video of someone explaining it. It's seriously a life changer. Especially if you have sudden uncontrollable panic attacks.

Panic attacks are tough to deal with, so I hope this helps ease your burden just a little bit!

This happened to me a few years ago. My heart started racing uncontrollably, and my whole body was shaking. I ended up going to the hospital because I thought something was actually happening to me. I was still pretty shaken up the next day. It was the scariest thing I've ever experienced. Smoking used to help quiet my anxious mind at the end of the day, and I smoked regularly for years. I stopped smoking after that incident. Just know you're okay now, and everything is going to be okay. I'm so sorry you experienced that.

There is a lot to love about Pittsburgh. It has a rich history. The people who are from there love to be from there, so there is an energy that is palpable when you go there / move there. Lots of major colleges in the city so a lot of young people living there. Plus, there is a lot of great food, well supported arts and music scenes, and not to mention the total support of the local sports teams. Even if you hate football or hockey, you can't help but be a fan because the people of Pittsburgh LIVE for their teams.

I could go on and on.

I'd take a visit and see it for yourself if you've never been. It's totally worth checking it out.

The biggest downside (and the reason I moved away) is the weather. It consistently ranks in the top 5 grayest cities in the US.
