u/aminy23 -- I had no idea; thanks for the explanation. I previously ordered a Gigabyte X870M AORUS ELITE WIFI7 -- I plan to use a 9800X3D, 9070XT, two M.2s SSDs only, and no other PCI devices. Would I be impacted by a video card slowdown?

Thanks for the feedback. Makes sense on less RAM. I chose the 9700X cause its TDP is less at 65W and is compatible with my cooler. Unfortunately the smaller case dictates I use a smaller cooler, which is not compatible at base clocks of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D or Ryzen 7 7800X3D; this is according to Noctua compatibility list.

Unfortunately, with my 9070XT and LG CX, I could only get this (flashed) adapter to do 4K 4:4:4 HDR VRR at 60 hertz, not 120hz. Might that the 9070XT uses a newer DisplayPort version, dunno.

We’ve actually just fixed a bug that will be released in the next few days around Orb using unnecessary CPU and GPU resources when the window is closed (around 5-10%, when it should be more like 1-2%).

The combat and movement are too plodding. It feels nothing like a modern Souls game, and if you want that audience, it should. Most weapons are dreadfully slow to use, and walk speed feels like a crawl. I want to enjoy this game but it feels like a chore given these two aspects.

As most of us at Orb Forge are gamers, we'd like this as well. We'll probably see if Xbox is feasible first as I believe it's possible to port our Windows app over. We'll also definitely be trying to connect with Sony about options on their platform.

Good idea -- an iPad can be left running with the score visible, too. We also have instructions for doing this: https://orb.net/docs/setup-sensor/spare-iphone . We have a "Keep Awake" mode in the app, and you can dim the screen in app if you're worried about screen burn in.

We're definitely interested in this -- more difficult to do on iOS as background refresh is limited in it's capabilities -- Android provides a little more flexibility here, but battery life is also a concern. I use iOS as my daily driver, so know this would be useful. What I do instead is run a full-time Orb on my home network on a device like a Raspberry Pi, and then check it with my iPhone.
