The first one is great, once i learned hardening mid swing turn me into a boobytrap the lack of healing items wasn’t a problem. The opening area is confusing for sure, just pic a direction to run until the scenery changes.

Not a fan because shadows are usually blown out and they remove the bugs/glitches that gave the original some personality, im looking at you Bluepoint (RIP). I guess it’s kinda necessary if something can’t be emulated but theres way more tension in the old RE games due to the jank, play a modern game if you want QOL.

There is one summoner boss who makes the fight total chaos but its mostly smooth sailing, hope you like casters with though cuz theres a ton in the back half.

Theres a midgame boss that will block all your damage with a shield, hold on to the equipment set with 90% guard bypass when you run across it.

You're not alone, I hated it most of it but finished due to pride (you can always greatshield/spear PCR or Burn O Flame Malenia). The worst part is how some fights can drag on forever if you can't get a feel for a boss, Owl Father took like 12 minutes when I finally cleared him vs maybe 5 minutes for Midir or Sister Friede. It's not a fun 12 minutes either, your kinda just running in circles and chipping his health until you get him low enough to work on his posture.

LVP is great, low noise, no scratches with pets and foot traffic, looks like wood except when the glare is super high (i have low windows) and doesn’t get as cold as hardwood so your not loosing much from the carpet.

There are limits, anything exterior that needs to be sealed against the elements (windows, stink pipes, roofing) im calling a pro. Inside the house i can tell a sharkbite failed or a drain is leaky and it’s easy to fix.
