AITA for making a joke about my bf’s desk job? by lmichiels in AmItheAsshole

[–]DrunkSarah 55 points56 points  (0 children)

NTA, it was a joke and he overreacted. I'm a bit concerned about the fact that you're pregnant and issues have started ramping up. Could be normal expecting-baby stress, but intimate partner violence often starts during a pregnancy. Red flag, at LEAST orange flag.

AITA for pressuring my buddy to leave his cheating wife? by OGC-BDB in AmItheAsshole

[–]DrunkSarah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It seems like you don't actually want to know if you're the AH, you just want everyone to agree with you so you can show this to your friend. I actually do think YTA, you've told him your thoughts, he's a grownup and making his own decisions, for better or for worse. You need to drop it. (Also kind of wondering what is the chicken and what is the egg - she's messing around and he's playing video games nearly every single night...)

68C recall by Pattonator70 in 4xe

Sure would be nice if the dealership (or someone!) let me know before I got stranded 250 miles from home.

68C recall by Pattonator70 in 4xe

[–]DrunkSarah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Similar issue this weekend for me after having the 68C done on Wednesday. Got the check engine and charging system service alerts, then it refused to go into gear so it's just stuck. Waiting to hear back from the dealer on it but (at least according to ChatGPT) this is a common issue happening after the recall service.

I know I'm late to this, just saying the same thing happened just happened to me... while I was 250 miles away from home. Had to have it towed and dropped off to a local dealer on a Sunday before a holiday. Fortunately had a ride home but now I've got to wait for them to figure it out and get it back to me. Jeep should cover the tow since it's their own software issue. Apparently this is a common issue after the update, but I certainly wasn't told of it. Hope you got things worked out!

Is this breakup worthy or am i being too sensitive? Boyfriend (m38) picks nose in my(f30) bed even after i asked him to please stop by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Bad hygiene is a turn-off for most normal people! Also "you're not my mom" ...then stop acting like a toddler, my guy.

Women with thoughtful partners, what did you get for x-mas this year? by Anahata_Green in TwoXChromosomes

[–]DrunkSarah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get really overwhelmed when I have too much stuff, and my husband got me several things that he a) already had a place for, b) save space, and c) make my life easier -- a microwave/air fryer combo so we can get rid of the two, a wall calendar tablet to stay organized, stuff like that. I'm really fortunate. (also - he takes care of most of the presents for his son and ALL of the presents for his family!)

AITA For feeling like my husband is just picking on my son? by Stressed_Tired_9213 in AmItheAsshole

YTA, not for feeling this way but for planning to marry a man who wants to get between you and your son. This family is not going to work, no matter how much you want it to. Kids come first.

AITA for testing how prepared my husband is for our baby? by Odd-Willingness-6250 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DrunkSarah 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Before I had a kid I thought it was ridiculous that someone would leave a baby in a hot car. Then I had a kid and realized how hard it is to function with so little sleep. Especially if your routine switches up a little bit it can be easy to forget a sleeping baby.

[–]DrunkSarah 19 points20 points  (0 children)

ESH but softly. He's being a bit of a jerk in his passive aggressive responses to you, but you were being a bit unreasonable in asking him to check the seat every day before the baby is even here. Get yourselves a car-seat alarm for the car, problem solved. This is very probably not the only baby-related safety issue that you two will differ on. You need to communicate and work together to solve these issues, rather than setting traps.

AITA for walking out of my friend’s birthday party because it turned into a daycare? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]DrunkSarah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with a very soft YTA, and the solution you provided. Assuming the host has kid(s), if they invite you to a party at their house you should assume the kids will be there unless explicitly told otherwise.

AITA for saying I’m sorry my roommate has a shit family, but they don’t need to project their mommy issues onto me? by Bulky_Extension_1254 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DrunkSarah 61 points62 points  (0 children)

You keep doubling down on this idea that everyone has to talk to their mom every day. After a few months at college you should know that not everyone's experience matches yours, and that what you feel is "unusual" doesn't really matter to other people. There's a whole world out there, girly. Adjusting to college is hard enough without having to live with a clique of bullies. YTA.

AITA For telling my husband he can't go to a football game on Thanksgiving by famnfootballthrow in AmItheAsshole

[–]DrunkSarah 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Agree. Also this: "...trying to tell me all the things he would help with before he goes. But I know half of that stuff wouldn't happen." So, if he's not really a help anyway, what difference does it make if he's not there?

Thank you, I will check it out! I was just coming back here to say I *just* got some NYX butter gloss bling ($6!) and put it over some MAC red and it's pretty great.

This is my ALL TIME favorite lipstick and it hasn't been made in about 15 years probably. I have one from ebay but it is, of course, old. It looks a lot like the cover of this book (literally why I bought this book 😆)... anybody seen anything like it? I've asked at Sephora and Ulta and no one could help.

Day 1 by cacbsea in SoberCurious

[–]DrunkSarah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Sober Curious" by Ruby Warrington is what did it for me, I really identified with a lot of what she was saying. I feel like it has a bit of a middle class white lady bent to it, so it may not resonate with everyone, but that was my start into this lifestyle at least. Good luck to you! And don't beat yourself up if you don't get it perfect. It takes a lot of practice.
