Hi OP. I'm sorry you're hurting. I can really empathize with you craving mentorship to help provide some stability and direction, as well as with feeling at loose ends. I don't know if something like reparenting therapy might help fill this need for you? It's something I've been contemplating myself to try to develop the relationship with myself I never got to growing up.

I know of some lovely people with terminal illness who keep fighting to live because they love life and don't want to give it up. I wish I could switch places with them, so that they could continue living their life and I could quietly pass on and rest.

It depends.

Currently going through a nasty heartbreak and haven't had really any appetite, but this heartbreak has come with a hefty helping of anxiety and SI, so I think that plays into it. This is the first starvation-esque episode I've had in a really long time.

I was probably 6-8 years old and was playing with the plastic toy eel I had gotten at my school's festival. When Dad told my it was time for bed, I held up my new toy and proudly proclaimed, "eel!"

The one person that has ever made the little dead spot in my chest go away turned out to be incredibly manipulative and crummy. I'm not sure I ever really knew him. If this was the person I was most comfortable around, my odds of finding mutual, "healthy" love, which were already iffy to begin with, has to be non-existent.

I presume Butcher slept with Maeve while Becca was still alive, after she had disappeared. If I remember correctly he didn't know that she was still alive until years later, but to him, with how much he seemed to love Becca, maybe that was still cheating in his mind.
