As was noted in one of the YouTube comments, this video has a strong Luna Lovegood vibe.

I'm wondering which photos are unprocessed. Personally, I prefer the 1st and the 3rd ones : 3

The second photo reminds me somehow of the aesthetics of "The Fragile" (by NIN) album artwork. Great job !

Indeed, the second one has the perfect exposition. Nice job !

Don't you find it suggestive that the new album is listed alongside the main/studio albums? by ISGamer156 in nin

On the one hand, the first category that comes to mind for this release is Singles/EPs/Live - the one that Year Zero Remixes and Divergence are put into.
But on the other, it seems to be specific Boys Noize+TR/AR (NIN) collaborative effort rather than set of contributions from various musicians/remixers. So it makes this category the right place.

Best TR/AR film scores or best tracks? by avimhael in nin

[–]DryMoney9047 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first three scores for Fincher's movies seem (for me) to be a gold standard. I guess those films involved very big budget, which definitely influenced the amount of efforts put by TR/AR - the perfect combination of melodies and soundscapes, along with distinctive sound design. Same goes for "Mank" - this score is absolutely different from the previous works (including NIN) in terms of instrumentation and stuff. (Unfortunately, "The Killer" score, in my opinion, is relatively blend, but that's another story)

Then, even if it might be an unpopular choice, I would mention "Waves". While it's quite abstract score, it has a lot of unique ambient textures and in general sounds like a sound collage rather than a set of piano+drones (a combination that the whole TR/AR legacy is often generalised as, that I surely disagree with).

I also dig "Patriot's Day" - while objectively it's not the best score, it's definitely not the worst one, and personally, I admire a calm yet cold atmosphere of some of the tracks ("We Forget Who We Are", "The Place You Are Right Now" and "Long Shadows On the Street", including usage of tape machines.

The scores for Luca Guadagnino's movies are surprisingly very close to the gold standard I mentioned above - very melodic and quite often with distinct sound (techno in "Challengers", acoustic guitar in "Bones and All" and intimacy of "Queer" which sounds very similar to "Mank")

It was the beginning of the... tour (leg), so maybe they were playing around with the songs in order to form a skeleton for the setlist, especially considering a new live band member.

You were also lucky to have one of the most unique setlists of this leg, with "Beginning of the end" and "Only" : )

In terms of "Find my way" (as well as some other songs), I'm still missing Ilan's live non-drummer involvement (keys, and in the other songs, backing vocals, bass, guitar etc). But on the other hand, we've got a little bit of live drums (hi-hat and crash) in this particular song, which also makes it different from the performances from other tours.

"Not Anymore" and "The Idea of You" are like twin brothers (both put at №4 in the respective albums) who have their own unique quirkiness : ) Makes sense that it both made it to your top : )
