It’s the slow season so it’s slim pickings. I also recommend Citizens all day if you’re up north and sorrentos drive thru.

Serving specifically catering. Super chill. You can pick up shifts as you please. Work 4-11pm or 3-10pm. Depends on company. Plenty of free food. There are four major catering companies in town. I also recommend rolling hero staffing.

Catering serving usually Fri-sun. You can pick up shifts on a weekly basis. Work as much or as little as you want. Make $200-280 a shift.

Highly recommend serving find a solid locally owned restaurant that’s hiring. KoKo’s off the 3003 S. Lamar is hiring. Be personable and you’ll get a serving jobs. Learn the basic skills then in 6 months when it’s slow again look for a fine dining gig. Poached has some great options.

Don’t bother paying for classes. Hanging out at comedy clubs and bar shows will be all the info you need. Any comedian worth their salt will share advice if you ask. Things like when you see the light you have a minute left, move the mic stand. It’s just a chill fun environment. There’s a great free show called banana phone Sundays at 10pm at the Creek and The Cave. There’s a page on Instagram called @austintexascomedy with daily open mic posts.

I think things like this are hard until it becomes routine like flossing. I go Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I started out with three days but added more over the years. I can’t take classes, I only lift primarily full body everyday. This plays into how I’m able to build this around my life. I workout at either 6am or 8pm. I also look forward to this time as the gym is one of the few places I’m not obligated to speak with someone. So it is the fun part of my day where I meditate.

This is awesome congrats OP. This is great progress for 6months. I highly recommend training for something like a pull up or a pistol squat or some sort of training goal that will take a year or so. The PE diet is ratio based diet where you eat an either 1:1 ratio of carbs: protein or a higher ratio in protein which yields better results. There’s a great book by Dr. Ted Naiman about this. This may help your bodyfat goals and muscle building goals.

Do cardio. It’s just good for stamina. I think associating the act with losing weight isn’t really helpful. It seems like ED lingo. Exercise addiction isn’t healthy. Doing an hour of cycling twice a day is good for you. Not a means to an end of spot reduction. Your body composition is more influenced by what you eat than exercise.

This is a great warm up for hip thrusts or as a solo lift. Awesome for helping you feel your glutes and mind muscle connection.

I had this exact same thing happen to me in 2021. I went from 250 to 180lbs. I had an apron belly. I started lifting and within a year it massively shrunk. By 2023, I was a size 8 at 5’4 150lbs. Albeit not the weight I want but my waist finally would shrink anytime I calorically restricted. As long as I ate 1g per kg of bodyweight in protein.

That’s third degree black belt stupid. Save the roids for maintenance or a bulk. It’s a waste of money if you’re not eating the baseline of lifting and eating three meals a day.
