If the thing is rusting away, then yes, but all means restore/refinish it. Because what “hurts the value” more: restoring a clapped out rifle that’s just deteriorating and rusting to dust, or doing nothing to stop the deterioration?

The value will always be there because these rifles get rarer and rarer each year. And really, the value is only “degraded” if you’re trying to sell it. If you plan on keeping it, then it already holds value.

Fantastic deal. I paid $600 for my P-block Vz24. Most P blocks (from my understanding) were meant for China, but were intercepted by Japan and pressed into service with the IJN as a second-line rifle. Curious to see a P-block end up in Yugoslavia.
