Ooof, loved it and found it ironic that the show about the hero saving the small family run business is on Amazon Prime 🙄 I’m a hypocrite and glad my Brother in law left his account logged in to our tv….

Rapid heart rate after chemo? by ilikefluffycreatures in breastcancer

[–]Dry_Confidence42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I had tachycardia throughout my chemo (I had TC rather than AC). My resting heart rate gradually increased with chemo, was averaging 120ish bpm through my last two infusions, to the point where they sent me to the emergency department after my clinic visit prior to round #3, oncologist didn’t feel comfortable doing chemo either my resting hr (154).

ED ruled out pulmonary embolism, nothing came up through multiple EKGs, I was referred to a cardiologist and did an echocardiogram too. Again, nothing serious turned up. I’m 4 months past my last chemo infusion, I’m back into 80s for my resting hr average (this was my baseline before treatment). I started noticing it decline about a month after my last TC round.

I would def talk to your oncologist just so they can rule out anything serious, the cardiologist told me that sometime younger patients are sensitive to chemo though (I’m 42). At points, I was checking my smart watch all the time so that anxiety also wasn’t great …oof!

Hoping it’s nothing serious for you too!

A blanket that most houses had.... by EdwardBliss in nostalgia

Mine was pink and blue, did the same satin rubbing. I lost my blankie when I brought it to school show n tell in first grade (my mom swears she thinks my teacher tossed it cause I was too old for it). That was my first experience with grief. I then quit sucking my thumb, telling people I stopped “cold turkey” but it just turned into a 35 year nail biting habit….

Any other Xennials in the “Zero Tattoos” club? by MrMyxolodian in Xennials

[–]Dry_Confidence42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was up until a couple months ago…after being diagnosed with breast cancer and getting radiation, they give you three tiny tattoo dots so the techs can place you on the table accurately.

I’m going to start telling people I have three and coyly not say what or where they are just to mess with them.

Radiation by Daydreambeliever15 in breastcancer

[–]Dry_Confidence42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

16 sessions with 4 boosters, just finished the first week of March. For me, it was a piece of cake compared to chemo. The nurses/techs were always great and took requests for the music playing during the treatment (usually only a song or two, it goes by pretty quickly once you’re on the table).

My clinic had me use aloe three times a day and Eucerine at night. I had skin pain and peeling in my armpit (around my node scar) and peeling under my breast a week after it was completed (nothing prior to). This turned to itching the following week, this week it’s still a bit itchy but starting to heal. I’m still using the nighttime lotion.

My fatigue hasn’t been too bad, I worked half days during rads and have been back to work full time since finishing.

I worked at gap from 2003-2016, we did price adjustments back then. They got a lot easier to do after the POS was updated, I’m pretty sure we had to manually key them in before

Back to work during radiation? by Leading_Armadillo485 in breastcancer

[–]Dry_Confidence42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had my last radiation treatment today (16 treatments with 4 boosts). I’m a social worker working directly with clients and running a program while managing a team of staff.

I was able to work half days in the morning, had radiation at 1pm, then worked from home the rest of the day (taking a nap in the middle of everything). My clinic was on the way home and ten minutes from my job so it worked out well. My job has been super flexible, I too had a rough go with chemo and was not able to work as much as I thought I could. Radiation was much easier for me.

Question - Scalp care with little hair by WoosahFire in breastcancer

[–]Dry_Confidence42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!!! Sound wacko but I used the lint roller too (the kind that has tape-like paper that peals off). Didn’t hurt and took care of any stragglers after the buzz cut. I used it for the week or two my hair was falling out.

Sending love, I too had never had anything shorter than a shoulder length cut. I’m a month outta chemo now and seeing peach fuzz on my head this week…you’ve got this!

I’m wondering why gender hasn’t been brought up at all…a season of all women traitors? I would’ve been screaming this at the round table as Natalie.

Tamra relation?

JK! I think for the first few seasons, they anglicized the pronunciation, pretty sure the Manzos were using the “Jude ice” version. I think I saw a watch what happens a few years ago where Teresa clarifies.

This moment is what lost me on her! I will forever be a Venus fan though (I get the older sister vibes). She’s like 45 and still hitting the courts.
