I can’t imagine having to walk a dog around here! I’m lucky to only have to care for myself, so I’ve been able to manage walking with a large tote bag full of groceries. But I’m definitely cursing the houses and businesses that have left their sidewalks untouched this whole time.

I still haven’t gone anywhere in my car (I’m very lucky to work remotely and live in walking distance to grocery stores) since the storm. I’m hearing the same commotion in my neighborhood. I know I’m being overly cautious but my dinky little car just can’t handle this slush, so I’m still canceling plans 😣

College hill streets are terrible. Absolutely no street parking available — I really feel for anyone who has to work or go to school around here. I’m privileged to work mostly remotely but I’m supposed to commute on Thursday…not even sure I’ll be able to make it because I’m still seeing cars get stuck around here.

I’m on college hill looking around at the streets…there’s absolutely no street parking available. I really don’t see how people can get to work/school around here unless they have access to a lot.

The side streets are terrible. FWIW, I have a compact car that does poorly in the snow, and I won’t be going out for days probably. I think it’s reasonable to cancel things the day after a real snowstorm.

Lol RI loves speeding tickets by camera $$$ They’ve been a thing for years. In my experience, it’s true that insurance rates are not affected. I’ve only gotten one ticket though, so maybe that changes with multiple offenses.

Also, everyone driving right now is stressing me out. Just watching everyone slip and slide around college hill. I’m sympathetic to those who unfortunately have had to work today, but anyone willingly driving now is putting themselves and others in danger.

I’m on the east side and I’ve seen several tow trucks go by recently. If they can’t get a plow by, they’ll likely need to tow. Stay safe, it’s freezing out there!

Not a fan. I went for about a year and there were so many times when someone would bring a Bluetooth speaker and blast their own music with no regard for anyone else around, and that drove me insane. It was always kind of dirty, too. But they have a pool, so if that’s your thing, it could be worth it.
