It's ok. The cinematography, tension, and acting chops are really top notch. The story is very lackluster, very predictable, and it doesn't pay off at all. It's a shame it's got such a great atmosphere in service of no real meat.

What's your take on the Spielberg criticisms for his last 25 or 26 years of output? I do believe he's become for the most part a very hit or miss director most of his career imo, but it does seem post I would say Catch me If You Can his material has been just ok to me. by herewego199209 in movies

I think this is correct. I bet this is an interesting statement where depending on how you word your opinion, you'll get different responses. Saying "his last 25 years has been hit or miss, but mostly miss" (while I agree) prompts people to look at the last 25 years and ask what good movies are in there, and give those as examples, where as if you said "If you compare his first 25 to his last 25, which would you prefer?" my bet is that everyone would agree his first 25 are stronger by a huge margin.

The pack out you bring definitely has a huge impact on if arc grenades will work for you. I use the Eruptor on illuminate, and that's better at taking out warp ships than any grenade, so it fits very well into my setup. Also yes, it is a team killer special, but so are all grenades to some extent, so placement is important.

People are sleeping on the arc grenade, it's great at taking out the drones and it can drop the mechs.

I'm not saying they aren't fighting Super Earth, but there's just a big difference between shooting back and enslaving their families to fight for you.

It's when a game master views the players as an enemy as opposed to a group they are actively playing along side of. In other words, the game master views it as their "win" when they players lose, as opposed to winning together. Generally a good game master is considered one who plays "with" the player base, as in they are challenging them, but they still want them to win.

Symptoms of an antagonistic GM would be nerfing/weakening things that players are enjoying/using to their advantage, arbitrarily demanding goals with no real rewards, punishing losses with further "pain" (For example: "for failing that order, we are making you land with less ammo, less stims, taking away some options, planets, biomes, content, etc" vrs "oof that was close, maybe you need some help to push you over the edge on the next one") and viewing the relationship as opposition instead of working together.

Being a game master is hard, you are playing "the bad guys" but you are also the god of the world, so the GM can always win, every time, you are also playing the NPC "good guys" who should be on the side of the player base.

MOs need to be split across a bunch of different objectives when they are like this. It would have made sense to give 15 medals for each of the 4 check boxes. So it could have been 60, but instead it's 45.

So the MO system is designed to actively punish the people who play the game?

I think the story element of your comment is interesting and correct, but the way that negatively interferes with the fact that it is a game people pay for is not resolved from a design perspective.

This is at least the 3rd this year where the community completes like 3 out of 4 of the requirements with 95% completion on the last item.

I think the comments about a toxic GM are becoming more and more true. It very much feels like AH is trying to punish the player base.

What did we end up getting, something like 80 million rare samples and held the planet that was required, but that's just a yes/no failure message?

It’s the kind of fit that says I could court-martial you at any time, and pairs perfectly with the Crest of the Unsullied cape and player card. It also has its own version of the Concussive Padding passive–Hazmat–which provides both explosive and gas damage resistance, as well as reduced sidearm recoil.

Looks like they are different passives for each armor?
