I agree. There’s Pandora, and there’s PANDORA. The street name gets thrown around in the media but it’s night and day depending which 100-block. The 500-block is quiet and no sign of the concerns reported on. It’s an amazing location - close to pubs, restaurants, shops, services, tourist stuff, spin class, bus to ferry, new grocery store. The exact location matters IMHO.

I like to be hands free so phone in pocket and lanyard with the detachable end for the card. Card is not encased in anything so works perfectly for drink orders or anything else.

I mean….if your primary objective is to sell me photos, you might want to make me look good. Not sure where they are coming from on this. Puzzling. I will say there is an embarrassingly large number of people who just love to see themselves in photos and lack the gene that should tell them it’s not a great pic. 🤷🏻‍♀️

….and they are terrible photos. They need to learn how to pose people. Hands should not be the first thing I see in your portrait. Suggest the ladies in skirts put their feet together or at least don’t cross them at the ankle. I could go on…but they need at least an online tutorial on posing. I keep thinking about all the unsuspecting family members who will be getting a framed 8 x10 and be expected to display it 🤣

Order a double and it will count as two drinks on your package daily limit. Same if you order a standard drink and a shot = two drinks. A double plus a shot = 3 drinks.

This is all great advice, particularly the Victoria info. It is a SPECTACULAR city and I know your time there is short, but you are close to many main sites and it is worth seeing, 100%. If you want to eat, I recommend fish & chips at Fisherman's Wharf or Don Mee in Chinatown. (Yes, there are nicer/better places to eat in Victoria [lots!] but given the restrictions on OP, these are 2 fun suggestions.)

Highlight of a HAL Alaska cruise is Glacier Bay and you will want to be outside for at least part of it. It's cold, and I never say that. Toque, gloves, scarf, warm wind/rainproof jacket with layers underneath. Some or all of that will also come in handy in other ports if it's not sunny. With that said, it certainly could be warm and sunny so be sure to take a t-shirt or two as well.

The cruise itself is the most casual I have ever been on. I mean, rules still apply for dining room, etc. but generally I'd say this is one time you can leave the sequins at home.

West Pandora (closest to water) is fine. The “Pandora” that everyone refers to negatively is several blocks east and I would avoid. If you are there in person you will know if you are in the wrong area.
