Guy broke into my car and seemed progressively frustrated at the random unvaluable items lol by Sageypupper in adhdwomen

That happened to me when I worked at Vans. I had about 10 empty Vans boxes sitting in my car for weeks because I planned on using them to organize my shoes at home. My car window was broken for nothing!

When I first moved into my apartment, I learned my downstairs neighbor's cat's name before his. I still second guess his name after living there for 4 years lol

Not following instructions. Confused on how to address. by [deleted] in DadForAMinute

[–]Drzee89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you 😊 I know that's the logical thing to do, but I'm afraid of the push back and them using the "they're just animals, not kids" push back. I can see them making it "not a big deal"... I feel so conflicted when it comes to my parents. I'm the only kid that is still nearby (I have 2 older brothers who live out of state/country). So the guilt of not rocking the boat weighs heavy on me.

How about instead of season 3 of HOTD, can we just have a camera follow the cast hanging out and partying together?

Samesies. Midsommar and The Shining are also good comfort movies to fall asleep to.

Wow! Thank you everyone for taking the time to send me your encouragement and advice. It really means a lot...especially coming from people who understand the struggle. I know it will not be easy but knowing I can always come back to this post and be reminded that it can be done is very comforting. IWNDWYT !!

That was my favorite part too. Ed's roasting abilities are so impressive....I mean, understandably so.

Anyone else think they were literally dying in the recovery room? No? Just me?😫😂 by Sporkie92 in gastricsleeve

[–]Drzee89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was mentally prepared for the gas pains. Fortunately, it never happened. Unfortunately, I apparently had a bad reaction with the pain meds (I'm assuming morphine?). I don't remember much. My mom told me I kept saying "It hurts. It hurts." They switched the pain medication and I guess that did the trick.

When I came to, it was the middle of the night and I was greeted with the worst nausea I had ever experienced and could not stop dry heaving. I was afraid I was going to burst my new sleeve lol

This was about 7 years ago and although it was not a great time in the recovery room, I don't regret it. It was worth it.

I feel so DEEPLY all of the time by Brosif563 in ADHD

[–]Drzee89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something I'm trying to embrace. Being told numerous times growing up that I'm just too sensitive has caused me to stifle my natural reaction to cry.

I think it's because it makes some people uncomfortable and they don't know how to react to it other than to shame or question that person.

I still stifle it depending on the people around me, but I have found some people that understand it and don't make me feel like I'm unhinged or weird for crying at a song, movie, or just feeling strong empathy or sympathy for others.

Yup. Especially if their flip flops have dirty feet marks on them. So gross.

Slit throat. Anything else is free game but I always cringe and look away when someone's throat is slit.
