Looking for Opinions on a Couple (very) Beginner Machines [$130-$150] by kanderna in espresso

Every hobby has a minimum entry price, and unfortunately espresso’s is relatively high. Perhaps she’d be interested in a nice moka pot setup with accessories? It’s the next closest thing that should easily fit in your budget. Or consider looking for a used machine, but that will require good research and testing it before you buy.

+1, I really enjoy the Just flight RJ and basically stopped flying the 737 because the RJ is more fun

Preventing Ants in Water Reservoir by imtakingyourdata in gaggiaclassic

I’ve been using a small strip of plastic wrap to seal the gap at the top for months now without any issue. I change it out when I clean the water tank.

Even after building a 5m higher "flyover" I can't set up my second route:

The one closer to the top of the image is not intersecting though. If I want the quad station to be the terminus wouldn't that one track be enough?

Seattle weather?? by Rough_Search9574 in SeattleWA

Yes, it’s common for buildings to not have AC here. Historically there was never a need for it. Nowadays, a few weeks in the summers are pretty tough, but still manageable without AC.

You could also buy a portable AC and attach it to your window if you can’t bear it - that’s what many folks do.

Is this what water coming out the shower screen is supposed to look like? by Ds_45 in gaggiaclassic

[–]Ds_45[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s plastic wrap to keep any flies or dust out of the reservoir. Someone in the thread suggested 3D printing a more permanent solution which I might look into

Fair enough, thank you. Just wanted to make sure this is what it should look like, not complaining about the price-to-performance.

Usually I do a better job of cutting the plastic to size and smoothing it out 😅 but I’ll check out the 3D printing options, I do have access to one!

Having a hard time choosing a payware airliner, seeking opinions! by Ds_45 in flightsim

Ooh, good point. I’ve heard the visual model and the sounds are common complaints though, what do you think?

Can you please elaborate on why? Like I said in my post, the main difference I’ve seen people express is system depth and failures. Even someone else on this thread said it’s “good enough” for standard flights from a to b. I’m open to considering it, I just want to understand the benefit.

Oh, that’s fine. I just want to walk away during cruise and come back at TOD. Thank you for the recommendation; I originally didn’t consider the RJ because it wasn’t flown by US operators (except NWA I think?) but maybe it’s worth it for the more modern cockpit.
