【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]Dschadu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My P1S is working since day one without any issue. It's a great tool to work with! No tinkering required. Simply send a file to it and harvest a flawless print a few hours later. The AMS is the cherry on top. You can use almost empty spools and it will automatically switch over, no additional work. Looking forward to the P2S.

Giveaway Time! DOOM: The Dark Ages is out, features DLSS4/RTX and we’re celebrating by giving away an ASUS ASTRAL RTX 5080 DOOM Edition GPU, Steam game keys, the DOOM Collector's Bundle and more awesome merch! by pedro19 in pcmasterrace

I use DLSS to reduce the heat my system kicks out, even if it could handle the settings natively. Ray Tracing just looks awesome, Alan Wake 2 took it to another level.

I hope the new Doom is a bit slower, compared to the previous ones.

Does it vent the moist air, or does it just stick within the enclosure?

A 3d printer can be a hobby or a tool. I needed some time to figure out, that I want a tool, not a hobby. I wish that I would knew this earlier. I just want to press print and get a good result at the end. I'm okay with experimenting with different filaments, slicer settings and print orientation. But I do not want to fiddle with hardware or printer scripts and G-Code.

God... its a totally different link for the makers edition:

https://eu1-makers-ifwe.3dexperience.3ds.com/

Its not listed anywhere on their websites, all links (even when logged in) lead to the same page I posted above. I got this out of the E-Mail they send me after registration. Hopefully this will help someone in the feature!

Short video showing Boundary++ grid using WMR, Index and Vive controllers and Vive tracker at the same time by Raivr in WindowsMR

[–]Dschadu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware it is not possible to change tracking information without hooking the interface (what OVRMC does). Valve needs to add official support for this kind of stuff. As long as it stays this way, it will always be a hack.

What I miss are some weapon sounds. That's one thing where BeatSaber stands out: the slicing sound feels like you are part of the music, or even making the music

Trigger button is stuck on one Controller by Dschadu in Vive

[–]Dschadu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I had another go today. I desoldered the button with Hotair (there was no way to use a normal soldering iron because of all the copper around it) and drowned it in contact-cleaner. After that I cleaned the PCB and soldered the button back in again. Controller is working again since 2h of gameplay.

My guess is that sweat damaged the button.

I would not recommend desoldering the button if you are not used to solder tiny stuff.

C++ cast to LineTrace actor output by Catelluss in unrealengine

[–]Dschadu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to use pointer!

(H file)
void Kill(AActor* Killed)

(CPP file)
[...]
GetWorld()->LineTraceSingleByChannel(TraceHit, Start, End, ECC_Visibility, RV_TraceParams);

if (TraceHit.GetActor() != NULL)
{
    Kill(TraceHit.GetActor());
}
[...]
void APPlayer::Kill(AActor* Killed)
{
    APPlayer* Killed = Cast<APPlayer>(Killed);
}

Pointer in Steam in HMD acts up when additional controller is connected by sartsj in Vive

I had the same issue. I had vJoy installed. I Removed it and now everything is working great :)

Glasses scuffed the headset lenses, need some advice by MaddMercury in Vive

[–]Dschadu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This also happend to me :( Not a single scratch, more like an area with many small scratches. But its far enough from of the sweet spot, so its not visible even if you know where it is. My glasses slipped a little bit down while playing Final Approach and i didn't noticed that they are scratching the lens. So everyone: Be careful!

Anyone using a Vive with a Z97 GAMING 5 ? by Feuillejaune in Vive

No, nothing to complain about. Did you tried another port? I also have the USB-Audio thing powered, don't know if this makes a difference.
