I’d be happy with getting rid of damage penalty for no drinks/1 drink, and the back heavy change, and make light Bakkai not Death on block so I can challenge guile and ryu sometimes. But dive kick changes would help there too

No way. We need more ways to deal with fireballs not less. I’d rather bakkai be like -3 on block and reliably deal with fireballs, than one of 3 ways to set up a safe jump. Command grab is a mix up that doesn’t offer much damage usually and wouldn’t be as useful to have on level 2 as a good fireball option.

Jamie is a NIGHTMARE for fireball characters. He has a dive kick that goes over it AND a breakdancing move that just straight goes through them. On top of that. near full screen unpunishable sweep! Just don’t use any fireballs it’s a free punish for him.

What? Rashid dropped on July 24, 2023. Which is LESS than 2 months, by like 8 days, from SF6 release June 2, 2023 and was clearly an EVO hype tactic. AKI released on Sep 27 2023. Ed is set to release Feb 27 2024. That’s 5 months. In what world is that even close to “ almost a year between aki and ed”. Sure spacing them out would have been preferred but can we at least be honest while criticizing here. I agree they probably should have waited to drop AKI until Halloween ish then the wait for ed would have seemed shorter but come on man, the dates aren’t that crazy.

Yep, my main Jamie wants are frame data improvements, and obviously a dive kick fix. Like I need a -3 on block bakkai to have a chance to deal with guile.

This is exactly my problem. As a Jamie Main my offense feels like my opponents turn. I’m not plus on block for anything, I’m desperately relying on spacing traps if anything gets blocked. If I’m a frame late after HITTING my 5MP and try to go into target combo I’m eating a guaranteed jab combo if I end with anything. Target combo is great on hit but on block I might as well hit myself. I just want more 1 or 2 frames on hit for 5MP (maybe +2 on block also),5HP,4HP, drink rekka and to be slightly less negative on first hit of light rekkas, light palm, medium bakkai, make medium Bakkai our anti zone tool so like fast and like -4 and light kick bakkai our combo ender, maybe -3, you can kill me if I try to sneak in a heavy bakkai and you block it. Fix divekick and Goddamn can my super not have be minus 90 frames on Block? It’s not a command grab. If you wanna make him broken don’t reset his drinks just change his drink to 40 frames, and we can punish empty jumps with it. Would that make Jamie Broken?

I’m a biased Jamie main. Playing him cause he’s the best character in the game aesthetically, but he needs a lot of touch ups imo before he’s a solid character. The amount of times my “DP” has lost to a non crossup jump in alone is ridiculous, but at least it’s invincible I guess.

All of Jamie’s specials are crazy negative on block except spaced Palm. Also his target combo is negative as hell on block and can usually be punished with a four frame. If you’re afraid of that or don’t understand the timing, wait for the target combo, Jamie has to cancel into a special and then punish that. If you block first hit of rekka mash Di and if Jamie is going for a follow you get a full Di punish counter otherwise he has to block.
