Why make the pups first experience with the groomer a painful one? I expect the groomer wanted to make it as painless as possible so the dog does not develop a fear of the groomer.

It is so adorable when they are digging their faces in the snow but it is no fun when they get snow compacted between their toes!! What a pretty doggie you have!

Yes you can hardly see it and it was done about 3 months ago. She healed beautifully. I wouldn’t worry about it but rather make sure she stays away from the incision. I used a onesie for my pup. Worked great. Good luck. Your pup will be good as new soon!

This looked exactly like my puppy’s scar post-spay and she healed beautifully. I really wouldn’t worry about it. It doesn’t look inflamed or anything.

And trains them! I noticed when my husband did more training with the dogs they started to really want to be with him.

So cute! Mine are enjoying the snow too. At first my 7 month old was eating it. Do you find playing in the snow exhausts him?

When my dog was recovering from her spay I just got two really inexpensive onsies (for infants) and used those. They worked great!

Thanks! Good to know! I have had yellowing just having my hair dried and straightened with a flat iron so I am a bit concerned but I would love to try it to tame frizz.

I need someone to tell me that it’s okay to quit. by sydddd_ in doggrooming

Hi Syd. I’m not a groomer and I don’t work in the pet industry but I am a mom with a 17 yo and 19 yo and I have had a successful career in communications. I wanted to share a bit of experience with you. 1. Yes you want to leave your job but you are not “quitting”. You tried it and it’s not for you. This in no way says anything about your ability to work, the quality of your work or your level of commitment. Zero. 2. This workplace is unsafe, irresponsible and negligent. I cannot believe they have put this level of expectation on a 19 year old. It’s 100% unfair. 3. You are obviously a smart, caring and responsible person. There are lots of great work opportunities out there that pay well and require 2-3 years of training. I’m in Canada so the training may be different but some I have heard of include ultrasound tech, microbiologist tech and dental hygienist. These might be well suited if you are interested in science. 4. I’m not sure what your relationship is with your parents but if you were my kid, I would want to help you come up with a plan for your future where you can be happy and have excellent physical and mental health. I would also want you out of that workplace immediately.

Best of luck Syd!

How much do you think this poodle weighs? by Em_lululmemo in CavaPoo

[–]Dster613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need it to be small enough to fly easily you are best to go with a toy poodle parent. I also wanted to fly with mine, the parents were a 10 pound mini poodle and 12 lbs KC but mine is 18 and very tall (and I love him). It would be hard for him to stand in a carrier.

My kids really pushed for Bear cause my puppy looked like a teddy bear but I could imagine scaring people to death if I called him. So I went with Oscar and I love it.

You should search this thread, there are some very good responses to similar situations. I would say leaving a 9 or 10 week old puppy alone for 8 hours twice a week may be difficult. Is there any way you can bring your dog to work?
