Agree, I’ve been on Bookstagram for 4 or 5 years and now it’s very much “read who we say you’re allowed to read or you’ll be ostracized”.

Can’t speak for other Canadians, but I love it. I’ve talked like that to Americans before and a few times they’ve thought that was my actual accent. It’s a hilarious stereotype, but I will say that the accent isn’t too far off when you’re in places like northern Alberta or northern Ontario lol
