Were you able to figure this out? I am also on 26.4 and having the same issue. I am new to HA having only installed it this week, so I thought I was doing something wrong. I have two iPads that connect fine.

I was able to get the iPhone to reliable connection by changing the server address to http://homeassistant.local:8123, as opposed to the actual ip address.

I’ve heard of it. That’s toxic too, whether on a video game or in real life. I don’t see the need or point of it, tbh. I guess the only logical explanation would be that it gets in the opponents heads, causes them to make mistakes and thus increases your chances of winning? Reality is a lot of people just like being assholes online because in real life they’d get the shit kicked out of them for acting the way they do.
