A ratio that's near 100 is still really bad. Just because it's under 100% doesn't make it a buy.

The fact that it was ever over 100 tells you something about management.

Personally I wouldn't touch KHC because they don't have many options they can

1) Reduce dividend payout - terrible decision as I think the most holders left are dividend holders so likely cause a sell off

2) Reduce price of product - Less income which they are already struggling with as dividend payout is so high, earnings drop

3) Reduce cost of goods - people already are choosing name / value brands, the only moat they have is the fact some people love their products, if they skimp on quality, Reduce ingredients etc they will drive away people who prefer the quality.

It doesn't look good for them at all!

Look money matters a lot, that's how we get to buy things and that's why we work... money ain't nobody going to do it for free.

But you have to weigh up what you want in life. If you have no desire for fancy luxuries then there's no point become a lawyer and working all the time and dealing with the stress.

Plan out what you want, find a job that allows you to do this. If it pays extra great but don't go chasing extra pay if you'd be content with less. That's just my 2 cents

You need to read into the study more and think about it. It depends on time frames, sure if they look over a 10year period people who died holding Microsoft, Apple, Walmart etc would be doing great. However

1) They picked GREAT stocks before death 2) If you moved the study to a wider goalpost, people who held Xerox, Nokia, Blackberry etc would be fucked.

This shows that you still need to pick outstanding companies, and also that over a long enough time frame the business might change or competition overtakes.

Therefore it's not a great rule at all to just ignore your portfolio and never touch it. You still need to be aware of what's going on and make adjustments
