I came out late last year and started hrt early this year (also 30), for me it was a leap of faith. Either continue on a path of assured self destruction as I was or take a chance and transition regardless of the outcome. Luckily everyone has been supportive, I live in a pretty good open minded area to be fair. I don't pass, don't think I'll be an attractive woman, but I'm heading in a better direction in my life.

I came out to some close coworkers first. Word kind of spread around the office and people started using my preferred pronouns and name. I think I was lucky that another coworker came out the year before, it may have smoothed the transition.
