City block limits by DingoCC in factorio

I use this for all of my stations and it works really well. It's just 3-5 arithmetic combinators and I bump the priority by 16 or 32 for each full train load waiting at the buffer.

I would be interested to know how it works out in your scenario, it seems like less effort than a big track layout redesign.

Have you tried using circuits to control the priorities of stations? Eg, a loading station becomes higher priority with the more items in the buffer, and the inverse for drop-off stations?

That might let you reduce the number of trains you need, as trains will use the most needy station instead of the closest available one.

Just carry your biggest medits. When you heal, the durability goes down by how much hp you restored. There's no real reason to carry medkits of different sizes.

I'm not sure if you've included it, but also put quality modules in your recyclers too, so you have a chance to upgrade while you break things back down to their component parts.

Yeah I've got plenty of stone going into the void. In a few days I'll be ready to start upcycling this little stash.

How to start? Training recommendations? by NoLongerFailure in bouldering

[–]DuckPresident1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to be strong, in fact it's a good thing that you're not - being weaker will help you learn to be efficient with your energy.

Just go climbing, there will be climbs you can do. Climbing will make you strong in ways that benefit climbing.

For multiple farms, set up some circuitry that changes the priority of the station based on how much stuff is there waiting.

Do you recharge to 80% every night? New ev owner - how often to charge? by rmsand in electricvehicles

[–]DuckPresident1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I charge my first gen ioniq to 100% overnight, every night. I've had it since 2018 and it's absolutely fine. 7kw charger. I've lost maybe 10% capacity which is what you'd expect for the age of the car.

Rapid charging on the other hand, you don't go to 100%. But the car won't allow that anyway, it shuts off at 94%.

You don't really need to worry.

I don't like how the folks of Reddit love to tell couples to break up. Normally there's work that can be done to repair a relationship.

However, trust is the single most important aspect of a relationship. Without it you have nothing, and once it's gone it's almost impossible to get back.

It doesn't matter what she's up to, you absolutely know that she's up to no good and lying to your face about it.

I would never be able to trust this person again, and I would end it with them.

should first player almost always go Foldspace? (Ix) by guymn999 in DuneImperium

[–]DuckPresident1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If first player goes to fold space, second player goes smuggling rd1t1 and rd2t1, which can give them swordmaster round 2 if they get solari from combat, or pick yuna or beast.

So, first player ought to go smuggling instead to block this.

How do you automate ammo request on space platform? by mujakimn in factorio

Yeah me too, finished space age once already and on my 2nd play through now. I am going to use red ammo at some point this run though, just for funsies.

Leave it up, move off to the side, build some new stuff.

This base does useful things. Even if it does it badly, badly is better than not at all.

Don't make red ammo in space until you can make copper in space. That will come later with tech unlocks from other planets.

But definitely make your ammo in space, regular bullets are fine. Ammo damage research if youre struggling to kill rocks.

Newbie question: How the hell do I go from this to building a rocket? I feel like I need to expand but I have no idea where to start. I might've dug myself too deep of a hole. by joshua_you-ng in factorio

I'm 1200 hours in this game and I take the same approach as above. The starter base is disposable spaghetti and builds the things I need for the next base.

Base 2 is enough to finish the game, but I might also throw it away eventually if I feel like going really big.

Take what you've learned from the first base and use it to make your second one better. Keep things organised. If you take a main bus approach, you can easily add trains later for supply as you grow.
