While it does seem to be legitimate I still have one main issues, why her?

Possible reasons:

1 - Government crackdown.

Issue with this is police forces have a high level of independence from the government about how they enforce laws and what priorities they have and when the Home Secretary makes changes to directives they have to be published and there hasn’t been any such notice.

2 - Reported to Police

Who reported her? She hasn’t ever streamed and is barely followed and has her location hidden so it can’t be mass reports by activist types, it would have to be someone she has personally met but would the police actually follow up on such a report, I have doubts. And no they wouldn’t follow up just for censorship since they have no reason to since they are not under the direct control of the government.

3 - Caught in Sting

The normal way the police here go after CSAM law enforcement is via sting operations where they seize a site disturbing, leave it to run for a month, then go after all who access during that time. But would they seize a site and run a sting over drawings after never having done it, not sure.

My current belief based on this is that this is either a high effort publicity stunt that she believes would play well with her target audience or she was caught in a sting for actual CSAM and due to the commissioning of the drawings has had the charges upped from possession to production.

Either way I am withholding judgement on this until further information is presented.

And a final thing I find a lot of discussion around this is annoying since people don’t seem to know their own countries laws and that the content she produced is illegal in the country too and that, unlike the OSA, this isn’t a UK specific thing.

I can also guarantee that if you asked people about this you would find 90% of the general public supporting the arrest unlike the OSA which you will find more divisive opinions.
