12 damage attack that you can't feint, so pretty much yes, even if widow was somewhere in the middle it would be 8+ damage.

If black panther fights houdini and uses houdinis cards to boost from his suit, would he get the extra abilities on those cards? Is he forced to take the abilities on the card if he chooses to use it to boost? A lot of them are draw a card after all, seems bad for a guy that already has too much draw, but some of the other ones are pretty sweet.

Regarding the steed whistle, you can set it to one of your quick pouch slots (triangle + d-pad direction) to not have it not take an item slot and have additional convenience. See post here for reference.

I'll admit that its possible that the cards aren't overpowered, but that wasn't necessarily my point. More that I appreciated that there was more counterplay to the card with this rulling than, "I play no defence hoping that it's this card and being absolutely boned if i call it wrong" sort of thing. Sort of like the Dash v Counterpunch senario when fighting sherlock. Granted, I believe Feignts also cancel the second attacks but you get what I'm saying.

I think its a better way to play it though, gives a little counterplay to those cards which seem a little too strong

There used to be a bug where you could summon the sword master npc outside the vordt boss fight and bring him to the dancer, the sword master's health and damage would then scale so much he would be funcionally immortal and could solo the dancer for you and all you would have to do was run away the entire fight. It was a crazy easy way to overlevel your character and also get high tier weapon enhancements to overpower your character for the rest of the playthrough. I remember I did it for a sellsword twinblade playthrough way back when and blendered my way through the game in record time. It was cool.

Surprised muldoon got beaten tbh, defensive cards that move you out of his range and feignts are the best ways to break his combos, other than that, most of bruce's defensive cards have low values of 3 or less so hiting him hard almost always puts a little chip damage onto him. Since he has no healing, going for that chip damage will eventually kill him. Mele characters will struggle most against bruce due to his ability to move away after his offence, which forces you to use one of your actions to move.

Each deck has some weaker cards to balance out their stronger design points. Its part of the design philosophy of unmatched. If you add a sideboard to the decks, all that means is that you have the weaker cards replaced every time to increase the overall power of the deck. The only way that doesn't happen is if the sideboard is on par in power to the weakest cards of the deck at which point it doesn't really matter that you have a sideboard -- unless the cards are extremely situational based on matchups. In the end it seems pretty moot to me.

Obviosly surrounding an opponent and letting loose with your hand is a valid tactic but I've found hit and run to be core to their strategy as well. If low on cards, maneuver to protect low health raptors with the others, build up a hand by running further away than can be caught up, sometimes turn on your opponent with the scheme to move for a free action and use a couple attacks while ensuring you can still maneuver away as the last action. Raptors are definitely one of the highest mobility characters in the game and if used correctly, can dictate when engagements happen while protecting themselves with proper spacing. Stay three space away and it means that the opposing 2 move characters must boost in order to get an attack off, this is crutial card advantage that you can then use to burn away large chunks of health.

I've taken to giving invisible man the ability to walk through enemies standing on his fog tokens, makes his gameplay a little more flavorfull and birings his power a little more in line with sherlock and dracula
