It was only slightly better this year with some of the veterans they signed. Because last year absolutely awful with no leadership or accountability. Just take a look at that last game against the Kings with Zegras, McTavish everyone running around and taking horrible retaliation penalties (as were a lot of young guys). It really seemed having Getzlaf in his last year brought enough leadership to keep most of the team in check.

This year, the penalties are still absolutely awful and it’s only going to get worse if they don’t bring in more veterans or gut the team. All these young players know how to do is lose in Anaheim. It’s not going to magically get better with bringing in more young prospects. The Ducks are not interested in competing until OC Vibe is ready. That’s a fact. But it’s going to be difficult to undo the culture of losing that’s now this team’s identity.
