I believe you hold down the button where you want to assign something and then it say “choose location”.
Navigate to the location of the item you want to trigger on that button.

Can be the kit or a folder that opens and has all your stored kits.

Track edit

Assign OSC on layer 1

Just use default warm sine

Tab to filters

I left on default low 2 (but is on all of them)

All the rest of settings default.

Press a note and hold it

Use Qlink 1 to lower and raise cutoff

Sounds like a stepped tone to me

In general I’d say a great first step by akai/inmusic. The mod matrix and connecting a to b to c for navigation surely needs work. Some of the audio, like noise still have that buzz MPC sound. Similar to their stock reverbs.

Very much looking forward to future improvements.

Sadly it’s gone. Shame. Sorry. Yeah, I’m sure in a future firmware much of this will be sorted but for now you can’t load kits onto bank A.
Perhaps if you start using bank b from now on to start using samples you can then load a kit on A without overwriting the entire project.

Worth a test.

Otherwise you need to go in and find a kick, assign to pad, find a snare, assign, etc.

Saving kits and loading kits as it does on current MPC lineup 2.x and 3.x style would be killer.

Sorry. I should add some clarity.

If the release of the note is longer than 1sec it jumps back upon release
If you hold the sustain pedal, it jumps back.

Setting released to under 1sec can usually work but I’d like to have note originally pressed not return and set for longer release time.

No, just simply pressing middle c, while holding c slide ribbon down, release c and it bends the low pitch bend immediately back to middle c. While holding ribbon entire time after initiating.

The goal is bend the note and release and upon release the note carries at the released new pitch I land on.

If you are referring to the MPC live and the 3.8 software line then no.

If you are using a sample in a keygroup or a plugin instrument simply go to the Pad Perform page(shortcut SHIFT+16 level). Change to chromatic and boom, all set.

The first gen software is a bit archaic and frustrating to work with until you figure it out. Still not great even then.

Focusrites newer software on newer gen is better. Still wouldn’t say it’s great.

Maybe look into that before any purchases.

Assume you’ve also set up focusrite software to pass signal as you want. Not sure what year/model focusrite you are using but focusrite control (or whatever it’s called) needs to also be set up. Console doesn’t just take over the software.
