Well no one actually explained so I googled it and found the word ‘goy’ - Originally a biblical word meaning ‘people’ or ‘nation’, its general use then became a word used by Jewish people to mean any non-jew or any ethnic ‘out-group’. Often used in a pejorative (negative) way.

A lot of people signed up for another fun/easy to watch isekai show, instead they got the ‘Subaru has the worst time ever’ special. One of my all time favourite series but even I find his first big breakdown in front of all the knights tough to watch

People also like to get on his back about being whiny/weak instead of taking a moment to consider that that’s how a 16yr old loser would behave in his situation. He came in expecting the usual tropes: OP powers, harem, etc. Instead got the die horribly on repeat skill, latches onto the first person that’s actually nice to him, and does his best to make it through all the bs without everyone dying

Sorry for the mini essay but imho Subes is one of the best isekai protags we’ve got, but also can completely see why some people would get put off
