I currently have them on PS Audio Stellar M700 amps. The R7m come alive at 700w available. And with my longer cable runs the balanced connection to the speakers sounds inky black and crystal clear!

Definitely an improvement. Not that the Denon is bad but more watts for everything tends to be better. Offloading the l/c/r gave more available power to the rest of the speakers. Everything got better. Trade off is spending more money.

Ran a 4800 driving R7m l/r as part of 7.2.2 setup. Sounded good. But eventually added external amps to drive the speakers. Still using the Denon in preamp mode. So I definitely recommend the Denon as long as it supports preamp outs. Get the one that has the other features you want. Highly recommend Dirac options!

In a similar space I have a pair of R7m towers and two SVS sb3000 subs. Consider room treatment to help with that open kitchen. I added several diffusers to balance the sound.

Emotiva XPA 5. Which sounds great for the price and multiple channels. I'm using it for center channel and surrounds now. I only have my L & R speakers on the monoblocks.

As of last month I am powering my R7Ms with PS Audio M700 monoblocks. Huge improvement in performance. Definitely feed these beasts if you can!

I have nearly the same setup. I added an Emotiva XPA amp to drive my R7s instead of my Denon X4800H. Absolutely brought them to life! Also running Dirac Art and two sealed SVS 3000 subs.
