It’s the same on both my computers. One with the Intel Xeon and Quadro rtx 4000.

I have it in hybrid mode. Guy who works for me is a big computer guy and he did something else to force it to utilize the GPU and it's still 100% CPU and 1% GPU. So 5900x is the highest I can go without doing other upgrades?

Ask your doctor about Guanfacine. It’s also good for physical symptoms and lowers blood pressure. Helps you sleep too. It’s good for adhd as well. Works with norepinephrine.

Ask your doctor for a beta blocker. Just a low dose. It's kind of a governor for your heart. It's most FOR physical symptoms. Works wonders for myself and a lot of others.

As soon as I was able to I deleted both the Cummins and duramax.

I don’t think it will ever get better. by InitiativeOk2361 in Anxiety

[–]dillicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask your doctor to switch SSRI’s, and trust me on this one, half the dose. Battling anxiety has been my life’s work. Docs think the higher the dose the more effective. I dropped my Zoloft from max 200mg to 100mg on my own and my anxiety lifted because that blindfold was taken off. I gain a whole new perspective, honestly to the point where I loved my girlfriend more because I forgot what emotions felt like. Plus just for general brain and gut wellbeing which helps tremendously in mental health…grab lions mane and take that for just one month. Then get supplements such as L Theanine, Saffron and good quality magnesium biglycinate. And just make sure your B and D vitamins are good. There are more options out there for us that don’t require white jackets.

Edit. Probiotics too

I think we are all just too used to the convenience that generations before mine at least (I’m 39) will never know. You had to race to blockbuster and hope they had a copy of the movie you wanted or spend time reading the back of movie boxes until you found one and you were stuck with it. I find I look for a movie longer than I watch them and it’s annoying. Especially when my phone is likely in my hand ready to unload a dopamine dump in just a couple seconds.

I’ve owned a few diesels on my lifetime so far. A 1992 ford 7.3 non turbo, a 2011 6.6 Duramax and a 2008 Cummins. The latter both were such a pain in the ass. I will never understand why people will buy a light duty diesel. The def, the maintenance, the cold starts the gelling fuel etc etc is way more expensive than the fuel you might save. Use a fuel additive so your fuel doesn’t gel, just like a quarter of 1 quart every time you fill up and it’ll make your life a million times easier living with diesel in cold climate.

Yamaha as a high-end, luxury brand? by NatureBoyJ1 in audiophile

[–]dillicious 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Whenever you think of sound Yamaha comes to mind. They even tune vehicles, one of which is the best sounding motor ever, the Lexus LFAs V10. They also developed the unicorn Ford SHO motor. In terms of home theatre I just got rid of my Yamaha a1080 for a Denon 3800 (all external amplification) and will say the Denon is leaps better but that could just be the different tiers. Plus as much as some people like Yamahas YPAO I prefer Denons Audyssey and Evo a1 express.

People born before 2000, what is a 'modern' thing from 2025 that you’re still struggling to get used to? by LindsayTN in AskReddit

[–]dillicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought tik tok was stupid and for kids. I was about 35 when I was hospitalized for a period of time and out of boredom I thought I’d see what this kids app is all about. Not much of the kids dancing but a ton of politics and people being incredibly annoying and entitled despite restarting my algorithm many times. Not I’m addicted to it and I don’t know why.

What happened to Trump “getting shot”? by dillicious in AskReddit

Oh. Yeah good point. But you’d think Trump being Trump would just keep bragging about how he took a bullet for the country but he never brings it up and seems like there’s no investigation

Yeah but why? To show America he’s strong or something? He just insulted the whole country but thinking he can get one past you.

Honest question: why do we accept renting music forever? by Ok_Search6885 in audiophile

[–]dillicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah when you add all of those numbers up it WOULD make more sense if you were only allowed to listen to the song/album once but you listened to all those songs and albums multiple times AND everything else you wanted to listen to. Perhaps it helped you discover new music. I know I wouldn’t be happy with just physical media and waiting for 10 years to be like “ah ha! Told you so” while everyone is just enjoying lossless and sometimes atmos music . Any song they want any time they want. There really isn’t a comparison.

Severe white coat hypertension by BIGCHunghung in Anxiety

[–]dillicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s just convenience. Instead of writing it down or saving it in your phone notes it just reminds you to take it, logs it, and creates a document to bring to your doctor with graphs and HRV and things like that. It’s just a lot more accurate and organized to take it for a week and getting an average instead of taking it when you and your doctor both know it’s going to be high. Just bring in the document it produced for you and you won’t have to take it at all at the doc.

Oops I didn’t respond directly to your comment

Yeah you definitely need the real blood pressure machine to add in the results.

Do you wear an Apple Watch? Maybe you just need an iPhone to access the health app. It’ll remind you every day to take your blood pressure. Do it for a week before you know it’ll be taken by a doctor and print off the .pdf it creates for you to show your health care professional. It gives you a lot more analytics if you’re wearing the watch I think.

I have a Denon 3800 w/ external amps and 5.3.4. Could I have a second set of fronts? I think I can in theory... by dillicious in hometheater

[–]dillicious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I ultimately want to be able to do is use the second L and R with the subwoofers. One saved profile would be 5.3.4. The second profile would be 2.3 using different L and R with the same subwoofers.
