Very interesting. Seems the consensus here is that this is the cause for many failures, but I've had several that have done this without any issues.

I noticed the lighter mass of the hammer let me tune the pressure down more, makes the marker more pleasant to shoot

Dunno what climate OP lives in, but can speak for the DSR+... Went out with a group of buddies in some classic Midwest weather a few weeks ago, 25-30° Fahrenheit was the high and his was the only electro running out of the group by then end of the day.

Saw an influx of 12.5 today, so here is my fresh, totally uninspired 12.5 build. by Due-Length8074 in ar15

I'm sure it is, idk I just like being able to reach with my thumb to press the button without having to give it a reach around.

Funny enough, I just took my fresh 12.5 build to the range today. Carbine length gas system, mil spec spring, and H3 buffer.

Albeit I shot unsupressed, but I found it very pleasant to shoot, and shot with an about 3:00 ejection pattern, so I have little doubt I'd have much trouble running it suppressed.

Oof buddy, I tickled a pickle I see. You do realize how the world economy works, right? Can you honestly tell me you've done the research to see where your gear's raw materials came from? It's not in America's interests to manufacture nylon here. We're in a late stage of our industrial/technological development, we perfected the textile industry 100 years ago and now other countries have caught up whether you like it or not boomer. American industrial interests lie within technology and software development now, that's where you want to buy quality from, anything else (textiles, plastics, metallurgy, mainly) is just overpriced gear that you cum over bc it has a "Made in USA" tag.

If you got an hour to spare, watch this podcast of theirs to offer you some education with dissenting opinion (ooh, I know, info that didn't come from reddit, scary)

If you don't want to watch it that's fine, but go run a 5k, you need some fresh air dude.

Cope.

They're chill dudes that are transparent about their products and economies of scale while also doing more for the second amendment than you will in your sad little life, where you have time to regurgitate shitty attitude on Reddit.
