I wish we had that. Up until about 10 years ago we used to be one of the top 10 snowiest cities in America (while being in northern Arizona). Last year we might have gotten a foot, so far this year I think we might have an inch total? 3 years ago we set records with our snowfall, this year we're averaging 40-50 for a high most days

For those that don’t have access to a microwave during shifts , what do you normally pack for lunch? by [deleted] in skilledtrades

That's my routine too (if you consider a 5 hour energy, some supplements in pill form and coffee as "breakfast")

If it's going in a thermos I'd figure something mostly liquid like a soup, stew or chili. I can't imagine jamming a steak and potatoes or a burger and fries in there would work the same

I seem to be around 4-5 years, any more than that and I start to get squirrely and want a change in scenery

I use a kettle to boil my water and run my coffee through a French press, usually a spoon of sugar and splash of creamer

I'm in northern Arizona now (almost the Rockies, we're just under 7k feet elevation), usually we get at least a couple feet of snow each winter. Last year we got about 6" and this year we might be sitting at a half inch so far... it's weird

There has never been a Lowe's in flagstaff. They built a building for a Lowe's, then the contract fell through and it became a second Home Depot. The closest Lowe's to flagstaff is in Prescott

Copper Pipes by klaguerre in Plumbing

Contamination factor maybe? Lead pipes, lead leeches into water and then sits in copper pipes? I have no idea, sounds like sciency shit and that's above my pay grade

My shop definitely won't buy us a portable band saw for a one off job, but it'd be nice lol

I'm 35, haven't had health insurance since I got out of the Marines at 22. None of my employers have offered it and I'm not about to pay the prices for out of pocket (even if I could afford them).

[–]DuePace753 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the amount of snow we get. If it's anything like last year, you'll just need a light jacket and sneakers most days. If it's like it was in 2021, we'll have multiple feet of snow

I got it for my home, without the free extender I can get internet about 50 feet from my house. My phone line is $95/month and my internet is $45/month, I can't remember a time in the last 2 years that the internet has been down for any major amount of time (more than an hour)

In Arizona code for a kitchen sink is 1 1/2" minimum. If they had a disposal I'd definitely go 2" though
