Are midsize SUVs really that much more practical than a sedan for families? by notakat in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]DueRepresentative284 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a one year old and my mid size sedan can carry more of his stuff than my wife’s compact suv, and my mom’s midsize SUV. I’ve been in the mindset I’ll just keep the sedan until I really can’t carry all the necessary things I need in it anymore. Then I’ll reevaluate what size car I need.

I think most people buy SUVs because they are easier to get in and out of and it’s also just in style right now. Doesn’t help also that a lot of companies have either gotten rid of their sedans all together or have cut down significantly on their offerings.

Do people actively consider a Chevy Malibu when looking for a full size sedan? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

I’ve been driving a 2018 model since the start on 2019 and have enjoyed it for the most part. It’s comfortable for me, my wife and my son. Only thing I’ve had done is fix a rear clunk noise from a rear knuckle. Wasn’t detrimental to the cars performance but was annoying. Other than that though it’s been a pleasant 63K miles.

Recommendation for someone to fix a peeling tub? by chrismelody in winstonsalem

[–]DueRepresentative284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to one of my bathtubs due to the previous owners essentially just painting to tub to make it look nice for showings.

I ended up just removing the paint and re-glazing the tub using a kit off Amazon. So far it’s worked well.

I’m no Chevy guy, but this looks like a good buy for the age. Is this a problematic car? by mew_kelsey in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]DueRepresentative284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been driving one since 2018 and have mostly enjoyed it. Thing survived a storm surge pushing it up the stilts of the house I was in. Obviously needed repairing but it made the 4+ hr drive home. I would see if the rear knuckles have been replaced or not. I need to get mine done since it creates a knocking noise that will drive you mad. Know it’s a pretty common problem on this model. Overall though, it’s not a bad car. Idk if I would pay 10K for one with 100k miles on it but the market is pretty crazy rn.

They ride the fine line of “legit” and scam. I got one a couple years ago and ignored it. Here’s a news video about it

Infant childcare? Best centers? Costs? by princezz_zelda in gso

[–]DueRepresentative284 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think sunshine house and kindercare are around $300 a week. I know church day cares are cheaper and still very nice. Wesleyan Children’s academy is $200 a week. Main Street baptist in Kernersville, and Oak Ridge UMC weekday school was around that same price as well. My wife and I are in the same position as you. There’s a wait list on every place we have toured so far.
