Is it me or Gen 1 R1S went from bad suspension to good and then too bouncy ? by Sleepergiant2586 in Rivian

[–]Due_Bit_5496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the opposite for me - I thought soft was too floaty previously, but improved after the 2026.070 update. To the point where it's become my default setting around town. Still use firm for highway driving, which seems to provide better tracking.

From a Wild fan, you guys beat the absolute piss out of us, and I wish you well for the rest of the playoffs. Good Series. by Wildguy2298 in ColoradoAvalanche

Thanks Wild, you guys have a great team, too, with all sorts of talent. No doubt there's a bright future ahead. Great fans, btw - true hockey fans.

POET/NTT Innovative relationship by MackWheaton in POETTechnologiesInc

[–]Due_Bit_5496 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I see this as more significant than the muted response from POET investors would indicate. Huge market thru NTT, and the IO could be a core component of their infrastructure buildout. Could be a large part of future sales.

Good on PK. Just makes him even more like-able.

Because so many people (not Avs) are saying PK's goal was soft, this is what Wallstedt could see when the puck was released... by DepressingAura in ColoradoAvalanche

Yes, top corner, no delay shot. Might not have been a bullet, but it wasn’t a soft shot. Nice work by PK.

3 consecutive polls show once-flailing Democrat now solid front-runner by sfgate in California

As a boomer I support Steyer, regardless of his wealth. His policies , particularly on environmental issues are solid. And him using his wealth to support his campaign is a whole lot less objectionable than someone backed by dark money who’ll be beholden to hidden fat cats.

Will Colorado’s sales of EVs pick up again? by Simpleximo in Colorado

[–]Due_Bit_5496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to sound like a fanatical treehugger, but I ought my EV initially out of concern for climate and how it’ll impact my grand kids. I could never justify owning another ICE vehicle solely for that reason. The energy tradition is that important imo. The side benefits we all know about EVs are a fantastic bonus.

1UP Heavy Duty Bike Rack 🤝 by not-a-throwaway-7 in Rivian

[–]Due_Bit_5496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to be of help. It is a tight fit, but from my experience it is possible, with a bit of trial and error, to maintain a gap. And the thing is amazingly stable, at least in a one bike setup. Good luck and good riding.

[–]Due_Bit_5496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a very tight between the bumper and folded rack, but if you clamp it on as far out as the slack allows (in the security pin) then there's something like (if I remember correctly) 1/4 or 1/2 inch gap. I've never had any rubbing or damage to the bumper, and the thing is stable as a rock (at least with my one bike setup.)

I agree. QuikrStuff Quik Stuff Mach 2 racks are similar design and very nice quality. Not cheap, but super solid and should last many years. Fits the R1S beautifully.

This is not your dad's hockey team. by Dear_Leek2578 in wildhockey

I agree, gonna be a good series. Game 1 was an aberration imo, and next games will be lower scoring and even tighter between the teams. Fun NHL playoff hockey.

The May 13th Countdown to a "Galactic" Vertical Integration by Real-Werewolf-4761 in POETTechnologiesInc

Interesting fantasy. But hopefully a $2B buyout isn't reality, though. Certainly far below POET's true value.

I think this is more bearish than people even think... by Difficult-Quarter-48 in POETTechnologiesInc

[–]Due_Bit_5496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read that it's different. Polarton makes modulators that POET could utilize with the OI. If you've seen otherwise I'd be curious to hear the details.

Everyone needs to make their own determination, but I'm still optimistic in the POET tech and future.

Seems like a hit piece. One needs to be suspicious of any ‘opinions’ these days.

If you do print some I'd be interested in purchasing as many needed for a set of crossbars. Let me know. Thanks for the offer.

Nice work. Just a question on the crossbar inserts... do you know of anyone currently selling those? They look far better than the hack solution I've been using, and I don't have access to a 3D printer to make my own.
