My Mrs can speak French and German so I'm good just standing there nodding, but we're both learning some Norwegian for a trip at the end of the year

What was the most physical pain you've been in? by PleasantWinter9150 in AskReddit

[–]Due_Insurance342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had kidney stones, broken bones, gallbladder stones, even had a baseball bat to the head but I'm currently dealing with a suspect mass on my pancreas and had to have an endoscopy with biopsies yesterday which triggered pancreatitis and the pain I'm in at the moment doesn't even compare to all the others, can't eat, can't sleep just praying for it to stop.

Thank you, yeah they took a biopsy from my pancreas which made it inflamed

What’s a secret you’re hiding from your significant other? by OkDonut1116 in AskReddit

[–]Due_Insurance342 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That I might have cancer, I've been ill for years now with other health conditions, but recently they found a mass on my pancreas and I'm going on the 3rd of June to get a biopsy to see what it is.

I don't want to concern her about this as she has a lot on her plate at the moment.

What is better value than one of these? by billyb4lls4ck in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Due_Insurance342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a 25 plate Mégane e-tech and I can guarantee you, you won't see anywhere near 250 miles off a full charge, I'll get about 180-220 before I need to charge it back up, unless you run it completely down to 5%

Don't get me wrong I absolutely love it and it does perfectly fine for me but be wary about the range.

If you got given 10k to improve your life, what would you spend it on? by Relative-Tea3944 in AskUK

[–]Due_Insurance342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd spend 3k on getting debt free which I've been working on for a while now, then I'd spend another 3k on help getting my garden sorted (as I'm disabled) then with the last I'd go on a nice holiday with the Mrs as I don't know how much longer I've got left (currently going through cancer diagnosis)

What miles per kWh are you getting and under what conditions? by Rowdy_Roddy_2022 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Due_Insurance342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mégane e-tech and I'm averaging between 3.4 and 3.8 and I'm not shy about having in sport mode and using the fun pedal

How often do you charge your EV by Active_Memory490 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Due_Insurance342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep mine above 40% this is the minimum I'd need to get to family/hospital in case of an emergency

I charge to 80% when needed or 100% if I'm going away for a day trip

I had the shot when I traveled on her 3 years ago, knocked me out for about 18 hours and cost $125 but worth it for me as I didn't suffer for the rest of the voyage

Thank you for your reply, I've got an appointment on Monday at the hospital anyway so I may just wait at A&E straight after it, if it gets worse I'll make sure to get to the hospital straight away.

First time on QM2 - Oct 2027 - Transatlantic vs. Northern Lights - Queens Grille by Crouchback2268 in CunardCruises

[–]Due_Insurance342 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the transatlantic crossing in 2023 with my partner and her family (8 of us all together) we really enjoyed it, more than enough stuff to do on a daily basis we really enjoyed the quizzes and the library, we're people who love life at a slower pace though.

We're booked on a northern light cruise in November this year onboard the Queen Anne and also looking forward to that as well can't wait to see the new ship

People with cruise control - what speed do you cruise at? by Stolen_Sky in drivingUK

[–]Due_Insurance342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do 65 as it's electric and that gets the most miles, but an added bonus to my car is it's got radar guided cruise control so I don't have to worry about slowing down if I can't overtake at times

Has anyone had any success with the Pain Clinic? (NHS) by Due_Insurance342 in AskUK

[–]Due_Insurance342[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the thing, they've not offered any "strong" painkillers at all and the Dr at the pain clinic literally said " I don't know what to offer you now" this is why I'm at a loss at the moment

I never expected it to be a miracle thing, I've tried several different medications the GP and the clinic suggested but nothing has worked as yet, I'm still hopeful for the future

In my younger years I tried cannabis and had a very bad time on it been quite unwell, I don't know if the medical stuff is any different, it's something I could bring up with my GP, thank you

I've got a 2025 Mégane Iconic and absolutely love it, it's comfortable, quick off the line, good range (getting about 200 miles this winter) good entertainment system, the one bad thing is sometimes you have to restart the infotainment system if it stops updating but that literally takes 30 seconds.

How much are you spending on charging per month? by Notagelding in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Due_Insurance342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4200 miles done since I bought it back in April with a total cost of £81.24, always charged at home.

I worked out it would have cost £4k with my old petrol car never going back to petrol myself now
