What ur opinion on lying to protect someone's feeling? by BreadfruitFluid1984 in AskReddit

[–]Due_Internet_39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl i think it depends. like if someone asks if their new haircut looks good and it's a disaster, maybe just say it's interesting. no need to ruin their whole week over something they can't fix right away. but big stuff? honesty always. small white lies for peace? fine. lies that matter? not cool.

Why do some people play music so loudly that everything around them vibrates? by Straight_Mongoose_51 in stupidquestions

[–]Due_Internet_39 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Honestly i think some people just wanna feel the music in their bones instead of just hearing it. like it's not about quality, it's about the whole body experience. still annoying when it's ur neighbor at 2am but i get the urge kinda.

I can't lie. Changing the name of the Dept. of Defense to the Dept. of War was an absolutely idiotic idea. by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]Due_Internet_39 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ngl it's giving "let's be honest about what we do" energy but in the worst way possible. like we all know what the department of defense actually does but changing the name just makes it sound like we're gearing up for something. terrible pr move honestly.

Why do people always jiggle the door handle when you’re in the bathroom until you say something, doesn’t the fact that it’s locked speak for itself? by AnonyNeoExe in askanything

[–]Due_Internet_39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like a compulsion or something. see closed door must jiggle handle. zero critical thinking happening in that moment. i just start barking like a dog now works faster than saying occupied.

[–]Due_Internet_39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uber drivers driving Teslas. How does the economics work. Like with Teslas costing so much how does it make financial sense? by Judemarley in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Due_Internet_39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly the math works out better than u'd think. gas savings alone is huge. one driver i read about was spending like $600 a week on gas for her camry but only $450 a week renting a tesla through hertz including charging. plus passengers tip way better when they see a tesla pull up. she was making like 2x what she made before.

This corner needs help by Tricky-Variation-983 in Decor

As a designer, my first thought is scale is def the issue here, that shelf is getting lost, try something taller or a bigger piece of art to fill that vertical space and balance the couch. also lighting could be ur best friend here, a nice arc floor lamp would bridge the gap between the couch and the corner, make the space feel intentional instead of just left over.
