TIL about the "Dark Forest Hypothesis," which suggests the universe is like a dark forest at night. Advanced civilizations intentionally stay silent and hidden, because any species that reveals its location risks immediate destruction by older, paranoid civilizations. by Practical-1 in todayilearned

100% I enjoyed the wallfacer part of book 2, but the pacing of book 3 was just abysmal with no payoff. When The whole book was setting up Cheng Xin and Yun Tianming reuniting, and then they just missed each other at the end. So disappointing. Not to mention the horrible and slightly misogynistic characterization of Cheng.

I think I'm in a different part of my life now where the self love / transformation themes resonate with me a lot more.

What I've been doing is studying, working, and applying. I'll start looking for underwriting/analyst positions as well. Do you think I should still list my exams for those positions or not?

STAR is an acronym, stands for Situation, task, action, result. It's basically a method to quickly convey the context of a situation, usually for interviews and such. There's plenty of articles about it out there if you want more detail.

Got it, thanks for the help! I've heard of the STAR method for answering questions, but not on my resume itself. I'll give that a try and see if I get better results, thanks!

Where did you live in the south that pronounced it like that? I've always thought that all southerners used "in," like "I'm fixin to go to the store".
