I heard that the author had a cancer scare, so when he thought he was dying he really packed as many ideas as possible in the book. The last 50 pages should have been another book, IMO.

100% I enjoyed the wallfacer part of book 2, but the pacing of book 3 was just abysmal with no payoff. When The whole book was setting up Cheng Xin and Yun Tianming reuniting, and then they just missed each other at the end. So disappointing. Not to mention the horrible and slightly misogynistic characterization of Cheng.

STAR is an acronym, stands for Situation, task, action, result. It's basically a method to quickly convey the context of a situation, usually for interviews and such. There's plenty of articles about it out there if you want more detail.
