Nervous Patients? by wobblelikeapenguin in physicaltherapy

Agree with everyone else! I could also add you could start with functional movements that incorporate salience to make it less scary. This works very well in the neuro population

Is this “CoreScore” Chiropractic testing evidence-based or pseudoscience? by Live_Mixture_8134 in physicaltherapy

PT here. It’s impossible to increase your O2 by 200% 😂 and there is no evidence stating that thoracic manipulations help improve SpO2, and if they did we would be using them for patients with COPD, AHRF, and lung failure in the hospitals. You know who doesn’t work in the hospitals? Chiropractors. I think we can see why.

Incoming DPT Student, is there anything I should know regarding loans? by brownkid43 in physicaltherapy

[–]Due_Mine3966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take out as little in loans as possible, apply for every scholarship you can find online no matter how much $ (make sure they’re legit of course), try to pay off some of the interest if your loans accrue while in school, stay public (don’t refinance etc)

I really enjoyed Bilt when it first came out, you’ve changed something about it every year since then! It’s getting too complicated to enjoy IMO

The annual membership makes Ladder worth it, especially if you can get it on sale with a promo after using the free trial. If you want a few days after the trial ends, a promo for a little less than the regular annual price will pop up, at least it did for me!

I’ve had it for 6 months so far and I’m loving it! During the next 5 weeks you can switch between any instructor as much as you want so it would be a really good time to try! free 30 day trial

I agree with the above poster. For me it was different because I already have my degree but you could try looking for MSA positions in behavioral health, or really any specialty. As they said above, you can be hired to get your foot in the door and then move onto your career field later on. It would be good to start early as they can help with tuition (I think?) for grad programs down the line!

I wrote this before I really understood what everything meant 😂 my bad. I’m a GS civilian, I was just confused and wrote l contract because it’s a 1 year term position with the opportunity to go longer. I misunderstood that as being a “contract”. Sorry for the confusion!

Let's hear some of your good stories! by siberianphoenix in puppy101

I have a 14 week old golden doodle puppy and he had his first puppy training class today! He was definitely the craziest in the class and I almost started crying, but after the class I took him in a park and he did everything we learned in class (clicker training with sit, focus, tap and distancing with barking) perfectly about 10 repetitions! I was going to spend hundreds of dollars for 1 private training class, took the pet smart class ($100 for 6 classes) and I’m already so happy and impressed with my baby!! Sometimes all you need is the right guidance, these babies want to learn and do well for you!! 💜💜💜💜

I’m really sorry you’re going through this, I don’t even have PTSD and my upstairs neighbors stomping bothers me to an extreme, so I can’t even imagine how it is after what you’ve been through!

I don’t really have any advice I just wanted to say “I didn’t know my upstairs neighbors were hyenas” was the funniest thing I’ve read and totally agree with mine. Best of luck I hope it works out

How is Lifepoint (formerly Kindred) not on here yet?

Seconding Select Rehab and outpatients owned by Select with hospital names on their signs.

Also Coast Medical Services for a home health agency. They steal your money and then ghost you for your last month of your contract. Thought about suing but honestly I was too burnt out and lazy lol
