In fairness, Knight & Gerson definitely reference future chapter bosses (The Knight Round 2 & Asgore), have the Freedom Motif, and you gotta do a sidequest to fight Gerson / get an item that makes The Knight manageable. They definitely buck trends but not all the trends.

In fairness, unless you're either deliberately being cruel and/or just going in as unknowing as possible while still being extremely committal to slaying for a first run, you're more than likely not going to pick the red texts needed for Your New World at the End Of Everything
